Not sure about the "excellent team" bit but guess he has to build up confidence and despite what some might wish for a lot of players in the squad will probably still be here next season if we are honest. We aren't going to be getting rid of loads and bringing a lot in.

If he does go for that, I wonder what will happen about the two remaining instalments we owe Rennes - due in August this year and August next year? At least there'll be no worries about a sell-on clause as it sounds like we'd be taking a bit of a hit. For the first 2 seasons he did ok when fit and the team was playing well but this season he had those injuries and obviously the team weren't playing well. Which would be a worry I guess for anyone buying Sarr - can he change a game on his own rather go missing or get frustrated like he was post AFCON.
