So obviously you've not got a clue about any of our games lol. Bailly was injured most of the season and Varane about half the season and when Varane did play with Maguire we rarely lost so wrong again mate sorry. The rest of the games he was partnered primarily with Lindelof and he's ****. Also not sure what anyone will be laughing about if he comes good with a better CB and under a decent manager which is what I said.

Errrm Fred wouldn't be our best mf would he, if I just said he'd be partnered with a better CM than Pogba or McTominay. But he'd be good enough in the role he does, was the point. Like Fletcher was good enough playing next to Carrick. It's not hard to get mate.

Sancho pure ****e lol. He wasn't but OK mate <laugh>

Maguire has had very little time to build a partnership with bailly or Varane because neither stay fit for more than 2 or 3 games in a row, Lindelof is not good enough and causes panic.
Fred with a good holding MF would be more than good enough further forward, Rashford has not been the same since his shoulder injury hopefully a good full pre-season will sort him out.

One other point on Maguire, he has been well off his game since his arrest on holiday, the case was supposed to go to court last summer but is still pending so maybe that is playing on his mind.

Maguire’s just finished his 3rd season and he’s had three different CB partners and he’s still not looked an ounce of that £80m you’ve spunked. Everyone’s seen enough of him to know you lot ballsed up big time. You could nab van Dijk from Pool and chances are Maguire would still look nothing special.

No but Fred is your best midfielder right now according to you so it’s why you’re in the mess that you are.

He’s literally been the biggest or second biggest flop of the season, try and deny it as much as you want mate but you’ve spent £75m on a guy that got outperformed by Demarai Gray in a side that survived relegation.

Did you actually read Trebls post or are you just going off what Munse said?

I read the bit where Trebs said Maguire and Fred can be quality if the right person is alongside them (lol) and how your lot's poor season overshadowed Fred's individual good one. So if Fred's your standout midfielder, it's no wonder you've struggled.

You're just sounding off without saying anything mate. I've just pointed out to you that Bailly has been injured. Even two seasons ago. Maguire was partnered with Lindelof even then. Do you check these things before you post?

Show me where I said he's our best midfielder lol. You do understand that midfielders have different roles? What we need is a better deep-lying CM which isn't his role. And that would improve the midfield as a whole including him. Fcking hell mate, like I said it's not hard to grasp.

Re: Sancho - you can claim it all you like but it aint true. He had a slow start but he improved. I can name several games where he was our best player including Leeds, Saints, Arsenal when we beat them... and ironically against Spurs when we beat you <laugh>, a game you must've missed or forgotten but either way undermines the "pure ****e" tag you've given him. Specifics mate from someone who's watched him actually play, not latching onto soundbites from ABU's and thinking if they say it enough it'll be true.

These are some of the longest explanations I've read in a while, but I've managed to simplify it down to maguire is ****e.

How does having a good season make him our stand out player?

Did you watch him at all this season? specially when he moved further forward with less defensive duties (mostly when paired with Matic).

What do I need to check? He's been at Utd three years and for three years he's been nothing but average, he's proven he's not an £80m signing but you're trying to convince yourself he'll come good if someone else plays alongside him.

So who's your best centre mid then? Fred, McTominay, Pogba or the guy you loaned to Everton? I mean I guess if he ain't your best CM you're even more ****ed <laugh>

Good for Sancho that he played well against us, that all makes it worthwhile and he's obviously had a good season then because of that.

Basically mate, but another £50m or so on a new CB to partner him and he'll come good... Honest.

I said standout midfielder, not player. It's pretty obvious to everyone who your standout player is, as he's the reason you lot remained semi competitive.

I've watched Fred enough to know he ain't a player that should be starting games for Man Utd. It seems I have higher expectations for your own club than you do though.

Well try checking who he's been partnered with before quoting players who've not been playing or been out half the season before posting might help. Just a suggestion like.

All I've said is I think he could come good with someone better than Lindelof, and the stats seem to suggest he has been for the vast majority of games when he's played with Varane but it looks like he's too injury prone for that to be sustainable.

You're the one banging on about best midfielder lol. You've realised you've missed the point and rather than accept that you're arguing with yourself. All I've said is in his role he's good enough. What we've been let down by is the defensive deep lying CM, and if we get a better one than the ones who've been the liability, our whole midfield with him in it would improve. Fcking hell, how hard is that to grasp? <laugh> <doh>

I said Sancho's improved as the season's gone on and those games off the top of my head show he's far from the "pure ****e" tag you gave him, so now once again you're changing the goalposts. It's clear as Diego and I have both mentioned, you've not actually watched him, not even in the game against you lol and are just jumping on the lazy bandwagon claiming he's ****e. I'm done here <laugh>

I think Dier is just assuming all our players are ****e because we finished below Spuds.

We're not finishing top 4 with Fred despite finishing Top 4 previous two seasons with Fred. And he's playing better now than he was then lol. Go figure. This thread is a fcking mess from start to finish <laugh>

So what you're saying is your £80m CB, bought to improve your backline three years ago, in fact needs another CB to get the best out of him? Can you not see how ****ed that is? When Pool paid £75m for van Dijk he turned Pool's backline into one of the meanest defences around, when you paid £80m for Maguire you're still in need of another CB because your backline's still ****.

You're the one who said Fred (and Maguire) can be quality if the right player is next to them. If you've paid £50m for a CM, he's the one who should be bringing the quality, not relying on someone else to get the best out of him. He's a bang average player, has been since the moment he joined.

He has been pure ****e and you know it, I have no idea why you're trying so hard to deny it. I'm not saying he won't come good in time but his first season was a disaster. A couple of good performances doesn't cloud the many other poor and ineffective ones. Trust me, I know all about seeing a player be brilliant every once in a while but ****e for the rest, his name's Ndombele.

Hey, if you guys love Maguire and Fred then I'm happy for you.

As I said to you before though, it seems I have higher expectations for your club than you do.

I think they have a very good chance tbh
Confidence is a big thing in football
Utd have a cracking squad that most clubs would be envious of imho
They had a bad season - I still can’t work out the Ronaldo thing
Totally understand why they got him
He is still one of the GoAts of the game
    But something didn’t click
There will be a lot of decent teams next season imho
Chelsea, Spurs, Utd, Possibly Newcastle, Defo City, I imagine we will be there but think we are due a season where we don’t challenge
Should be a good old season
