Haha just what the message said, I think he's had too many sherberts, he's a York City fan first and a City person second
I think I read an article the other day where Yilmaz confirmed he's met with Acun but told him he can't manage the intensity of the championship at his age, so he declined the offer to sign for us. I personally think out of the two, Tosun would be the better choice, if we can keep him fit.
Yeah I think Yilmaz wants to go back to Turkey because the league isn't as intense and it's less games. Tosun is also very good friends with Acun, I think at the very least we'll see him come in on trial.
Yeah that's a bit of an issue, however if he's coming in on a free transfer, it at least mitigates any daft costs. His wages won't be cheap by our standards though. Dwight Gayle wants out of Newcastle, he has to be worth a look.
must be wayyyyy out of our league in terms of salary..we can get better value importing into the country
Yeah I mean it depends on what sort of magic Acun can weave, they're good friends so never say never, but I agree we could easily sign a younger, fitter striker for less wages.
It’s a very easy link to make given their relationship I guess. Didn’t he turn us down in January? Not a fan of it unless it was relatively cheap which I doubt will happen. Although this wouldn’t suggest he has any reoccurring injuries more so just been unlucky which is probably down to lack of playing time https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cenk-tosun/verletzungen/spieler/45671
If you can keep him fit, he'd be a monster at this level though. Fair enough, he couldn't do it in the PL but that doesn't matter, in Turkey he was a monster and he when he went back to Besiktas he got 3 in 3. Funnily enough, he's only had injury problems since he went to Everton and stopped playing. He'll need a full intense pre season but I'd take him all day long.
It's very harsh to question Honeyman's injury record. He's played through injuries for long parts in both of the last two seasons. He's made himself available when other players wouldn't have.
If he doesn't have the confidence to back himself to win a starting position in the side then he's a pretty poor excuse for a professional footballer.
Yes he did, and eventually he succumbs to those injuries and we struggle as a result. I'm not questioning the lad's desire to play for us, I'm simply highlighting the fact that without him we're easily a poorer side and we need somebody of equal or better quality to be able to come in and take his place.
You think players require a guarantee that they're first choice to sign a new contract? I think it's ridiculous to suggest that George rejected the contract offer because he's in a sulk at not being guaranteed a place in the side. Think that's a massive disservice to him.
With five subs being approved for next season and 46 games to play, we'll need a squad 15-18 players deep who will all get regular minutes and starts.
Well as you didn’t say either of those things I’m not sure why you’re asking, but no I don’t and I agree. But I replied to something different that you said
