It's utter hypocrisy. They see a slice of their huge cake being taken so the PGA and European Tour media machines have gone into overdrive. It's got nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. Greg Norman has been trying to start a World Tour since the 90s but has never had the money. The PIF investment means he has the cash. Not only is it just one of their many investments: Facebook, Uber, Citigroup, Bank of America and Electronic Arts for example, they are just an investor. The European Tour play in China that, supposedly, has a worse human rights record plus they play in Qatar, UAE and, you just couldn't write this it's so hypocritical, Saudi Arabia! I don't know if they've played there this year but they did last year. It's hilarious.
I mean does Mcilroy and the like not know how hypocrtical they sound. I just wish someone would take them to task over this.
True. Sky Sports are becoming less than a sports channel everyday. In fact it should rename as Sky News 2
They play sport in this case golf, They are not role models just as footballers, F1 drivers NBA players etc are not. I wish the press would get off their backs. Maybe they should ask things like: how do you play a flop shot, or stutter a run up for a peno or nail a qualifying lap. AJAC All Journalists Are ****s.
Ok, ok I didn't check the spell check, silly me, let those who are without sin throw the first stone !!!!
Actually, looking back and correcting for my dyslexia I see that you have been an absolute jamster and I do not apologise.
Random help needed please: My father currently uses Virgin Media to watch Prem (and the cup matches) and international football and rugby union (only those two). Doesn't bother with anything else due to poor eyesight. He has a discount which ends in Aug 22 after which the price will rocket. He said he'd give it up then but I'd prefer that he can still watch them. Can anyone recommend the cheapest (legal) way to watch those please. He's currently paying £94/month. I'll have to sort it out for him, whatever option. Thanks in advance.
Tell them that you are negotiating on behalf of your father and unfortunately he will have to cancel if they can’t do better (and I mean a lot better) if they don’t play ball then tell them you are giving notice of cancellation and get a cancellation date, if they still don’t play ball leave it at that having got your cancellation date. Put phone down and wait for them to ring back which they will do may be in a couple of days time but they will call you
Thanks both. I'll try that. My mother (died last December) negotiated £53 off, which is what will stop in August. Streaming is out of the question as he's a tech luddite and I don't want weekly 'help!' calls with that or some hooky links - which he can't see well enough to operate.
Had a carbon copy issue for my elder brother, his eyesight is poor so he has a big tv screen and also virgin with all the sport on, he was paying £72/month, they informed him it was going up to £135/month, over 80% increase the robbing twats, I called them on his behalf and cried the poor tale, the woman on the other end was nearly crying for him, ended up with same package for £69/month, so go get em Brizzie they can do something. GoodLuck
