Should have gone to a 3D pub or watched with a friend who has 3D - we had Garry Birtles and Gary Weaver on commentary.
No insight, boring voice, no grace - he could have fessed up at least partial responsibility for our 15 years in the wilderness. But it was as if he has never had any connection to us. Quite exciting waiting for him to say 'you've been tangoed' though.
Met him a few times when i worked at a country club(chef). Nice bloke, didn't mind having the piss taken out of him for his piss poor dress sense, gave me box tickets at Loftus on a few occasions and introduced me to Sir Les!!
That's the trouble with meeting people for real, it forces you to abandon highly enjoyable prejudices. Please don't be offended if I ignore your inconvenient post!
Lack of respect being displayed for a very good player for us in the past. He just wasn't up to it as a manager.
Yep - anyone who remembers that season will never forgive Ray 'Judas' Wilkins but it would go a long way if he ever spoke up about the undoubted conspiracy with the asset stripping owners. Probably the best passer of the ball I have ever seen in the hoops BTW.
