Two sides to this. Agree it’s sanctimonious hypocritical bollox on one level. On another they’re ripping up the status quo of the sport that has funded their extravagant life styles for years… and diluting competition for the fans… all for a few dollars more… When they’re all loaded anyway. The conversation should have gone like this: Interviewer: “So Ian, you’re past it, never won much anyway. What part of the multi-million signing on fee appealed to you most?”@ Poulter: “I’d sell my own granny for a fiver, so I don’t give a fck about some country’s human right record if they’re funding my new yacht” then we could all admire the honesty of both interviewer and interviewer and move on.
Another on my give a slap list. But don't know the next time we'll meet up because you find getting tickets difficult...
Watching the BBC interviewing a veteran of the Falklands war on the 40th Anniversary of the conflict. Fair play to the lad when asked about PSTD, he said it's a word overused for every thing. He said on the one hand you get someone who is offended by something and is put under the PSTD umbrella and in the same breath a soilder who see's his mate killed and blown up is also put under the PSTD umbrella. There is no comparison, but yet both are treated as PSTD. He also said it was always called shellshock in his day.
