If Boris really wants to stand any chance of saving his bacon from the Tory backbench meat slicer, then he is going a funny way about it.

He starts off with a trip to Blackpool to promote a new version of the tenant’s right to buy their council house. Just the sort of ‘levelling up’ that Red Wall Northern voters really need in a cost of living crisis – not. He made the obscene suggestion that people could use their benefits to pay their mortgage: buy a house you cannot afford and taxpayers will pick up the mortgage for you.

If he travelled up to the North West by train at least he did not waste the taxpayers’ money filling up the government limousine.

Had he bothered to read the Daily Telegraph this morning he would have seen an article about how much of the cost of a litre of petrol goes to the Exchequer. Whilst 45 per cent of the cost goes on the product, 46 per cent goes in fuel duty and VAT. Petrol is one of those stupid things where customers actually pay tax on tax: fuel duty is added and then VAT is charged on the total. The oil company makes less than 2p a litre.

Perhaps if Boris wanted to do something populist to try and get back into the affections of the electorate, he should have popped next door to No 11 and told Rishi to slash fuel duty and/or VAT as he is currently raking in twice what he was forecast to receive; a lot more than is needed for his spending commitments. The Conservatives are supposed to be the party of low taxes. Bolshevik Boris and Socialist Sunak appear to have forgotten.

I made no reference to either satellites or drones.

Something makes me think that they do not advertise which trains significant targets are planning on using. They show up unannounced at the station, get on the train and it leaves.

The train service here is a shambolic waste of taxpayers’ money. Give the train drivers a ten per cent pay rise, put the fares up ten per cent to cover it and scrap all subsidies. If everyone stops using the trains, then the train companies go bust and all the drivers will have to find somewhere else to work. I suspect that few of them will find alternative employment at £58k a year. They could learn French and go driving empty French trains – they are great if you are a tourist as they cost French taxpayers fortunes, the tickets are cheap and the drivers can retire in their fifties.

The green lobby would melt if they cut the tax on car fuels. The price hike has been on the cards since the push for electric vehicles and against gas and oil. The tax lost from fuel duty has to be recovered somewhere.

The Green New deal scam is just ridiculous.

The wind turbines use more carbon to produce than they will ever kick out in "green " electricity.

Places like California already have power rationing because they insisted on dumping fossil fuel power.

Now what happens when every body comes home at dinner time and plugs in their electric cars to charge overnight ?

Overloading the grid at the same time .

Or in the winter when the solar panels are covered in snow and the turbines are frozen solid ?

People will freeze to death in their electric cars without an engine keeping them warm and when they run out of power they can't just walk to the pump and fill a can .
The cars will be useless unless they use a petrol generator to charge them .

The whole thing is totally ******ed .

Once again these green energy companies will be getting enormous government subsidies to fail with lobbying groups getting their cut .

Just like Obama and his Solyndra money pit scam.

There are already issues with disposal as the early installations reach their end of life, and then there's the abuse and exploitation of children and the poor to gather the raw materials, not to mention the environmental damage and emissions from transporting them. The impact from the UK doing this is about a thimble in a swimming pool.

I'm not against protecting the environment, but the measures being pushed don't really do that. At best they change one problem for another.

It's a shame there are no decent journalists, as the IPCC reports do not fully reflect the science that is supposed to underpin it.

Imagine Biden putting the Cork in the US fossil fuel Industry only to beg Venezuela Iran and Saudi Arabia for oil because they want to piss off Putin and pretend to be green .

The Germans telling their plebs to wear a coat in the house because they destroyed their own power Industry too.

All to push through the ridiculous Marxist green new deal Commie gobbledygook scam.

They hope that if they keep us all in fear of war and Jack up the cost of living we will go along with their power grab .

All it takes is for one person to explain what the dumb **** with the twatter C+Ps adds that Pete didn't and how one was more acceptable than the other.
Do you really like scrolling through 2 or 3 pages of ****e before you get to an actual post?

From what I've seen over a long period of looking at this sort of stuff, those accused of organising this are nothing like influential, organised or bright enough to engineer it, and there are far too many seperate bodies that they would have to pull in line, each with their own power struggles between each other and within.

Don't Labour and the Democrats already have their Green New Deal ready to roll out ?

I remember AOC was trying to float it .

Stupid things like insulation and new boilers in every single home costing trillions.

The UN have a Global version being rolled out for agenda 2030.

Totally ****ing over 3rd World countries and giving China developing Nation status so pumping money into China as well as giving them exemption from cutting any emissions.

Once you scrape through the verbiage, the way they actually 'prove' they're achieving the targets is so simplistic it's laughable, and wide open to abuse. They don't actually measure the CO2 at any sort of local level, it's estimated from some grossly simplistic assumptions, and I've seen big reductions in some reports of successes that are simply a consequence of changing a few numbers without any changes in real world emissions. There doesn't seem to be an awful lot of oversight.

Have a look at what they did for covid data, and then apply what you know to the net zero stuff.

If you want to get a handle on it, try not to do it through the lens of this global cabal stuff, or you'll miss an awful lot.

Never ignored anyone in my life and probably never will.
That said, you could say Pete was never ignored by anyone. He was constantly in the thoughts of some and still is yet not one person ever explained to him why posting news articles was wrong or simply debunked them. Instead they got obsessed by **** and still are.
