Anyone watched Gallowgate shots talking about this kid and his Youtube highlight reel? 2 of them at exact same time went ......... It's Sammy Ameobi
I watched a few of his clips and determined he's got absolutely lethal close control, a good eye for a pass and that he knows where to be at the right time. They can compare him to Sammy ameobi because of his frame, but there's absolutely no comparison otherwise in the way he plays and most certainly not his stats. Gallowgate shots are a bunch of call center agents with an hour off not wearing their lanyards The Magpie channel has a guy on their that dresses like an American Newcastle fans TV is run by a bald medieval dwarf that wears a diamonte ear ring and you never see him without a hat.. Oh and good morning mate
He's like one of those toys.. You know the ones with a head bigger than their body. They do players like that.. You know the things
Tried to find it but couldn't, was on twitter somewhere but someone did a mint photoshop from one of the Serena Taylor pics from Matt Targett signing where they had Adam Pearson's reflection in a wall, was really well done.
So would I, so long as it doesn't stop us getting more important targets. After we get a CB and a striker, I don't care. Paqueta or Diaby would suit me.
I would think we are likely to be making moves for Eriksen but would hope that we would push the boat out for Paqueta. I do think he would make a huge difference.
Have to say I disagree. I think it is a priority for a few reasons. The central midfield is where the majority of games are won and lost. Adding Paqueta who is a regular starter for Brazil with an existing relationship with Bruno would be a stunning bit of work. What I think has to be considered is you are rolling back to regular appearances from Shelvey or Longstaff if we don't add again. Willock will undoubtedly miss a lot of games, and go missing. We can of course look to develop him to improve but essentially we need to work on what we actually know, not what might happen. To me our midfield isn't complete and given the gravity of the area of the pitch in deciding games, its a big priority for me. We need to continue improving our ball retention/possession. I agree we need the other three also however. I'd like to see us go big on these with Ekitie, Paqueta, Diaby and Botman. I haven't seen much of Botman though so that's a bit of an unknown for me. He looked like a carthorse against Chelsea, really slow. The other three I've seen plenty of and they look top options and good fits.
Whether or not you think central mid is where games are won and lost shouldn't be considered the most important factor. The reality is we are weaker in other areas that need strengthening as a priority first. Our CM positions are not THAT weak. We have 3 good first choice CM's. Yes they could get injured but so could other areas that are critical. Longstaff is decent cover, he's improved a lot recently. If we lose Wilson again due to injury, which we likely will, we're stuck with Wood again, who is basically the new Shola. That's a scary thought considering our goals. If we lose one of our main CB's schar or burn due to injury, who do we have that's reliable? Fernandez? Who's a bit injury prone himself, then after that? Clark? Lascelles? CB and ST is a priority as it's the positions where injuries will screw us over the most. They need to be filled as a priority as it's where we have the least depth. CM could do with improving but it's not so critical that we need to make it a priority over two clearly weaker positions in our team.
So kids agent was due in for talks on Monday and delayed them according to Fabrizio Romano, now been pulled off having twanged his hammy for the 2nd time in 4 months - Starting to think its time to swerve this one like.
Yep, think this will help us dodge this particular bullet. Never liked this deal, won't be sad to see it gone. Gouiri looks ten times the player already and can't be any more expensive.
I'm finding myself agreeing with you more and more recently, it's kind of worrying. FWIW I think Gouiri might be a good chunk cheaper than this lad, and when he takes people on it looks clean and deliberate rather than a fluke or needing a deflection.
