Yeah. Hopefully we can get to the third round and get drawn against one of the really big Yorkshire teams, like Middlesbrough or Hull.
Barnsley are fairly big too, but it winds up my Barnsley mate when I talk about Middlesbrough and Hull Strange how Lancashire has so many big clubs, but Yorkshire has only three.
IA - Still if you can make it to the Yorkshire game (FC Halifax), at least you know it will be a game full of passion by both sides, you know the sort of thing I mean, real fans, no glory hunters, no champions league pretenders, a proper game of football mate
fc halifax currently are 12th northern prempld 14 won 3 drawn 2 lost 2 -leading scorer lee gregory 9 average crowd about 1,400 so should get i reckon 3,500 for game against us
the shay halifax -stat halifax went under and fc halifax where reformed went down a couple leagues walked promoation last year ,rem the big grass banks
Yeah, brb. There's definitely no European champions in Yorkshire, not even close. They're all in the midlands and northwest. Still, the Yorkshire clubs are alright. Nice small clubs. Went to an away match a couple of years ago up there, and they had a fairly big ground, but the upper tier needed work. Couldn't fill it either, even with the top tier closed. Nice little club all the same. Think they wore white.
Saw FC Halifax win at Lancaster in the 3rd qualifying round, you shouldn't have any trouble winning it. Will be a hostile atmosphere though.
Erm, wonder who that could of been? I can remember some club from up that way visited us a couple of seasons back, they wore yellow though? There was talk at the time of some pub team about to get a hammering - I really thought they meant us at first...until they were 3-0 down in the first half hour.
Not sure who it was. One of those little teams from one of the rugby towns in Yorkshire. When they came to the Valley, I think they were very taken by Akpo Sodje, and he was fond of them too. I remember them all chanting 'one goal, we only want one goal', and sure enough, Akpo went straightaway to the Covered End and scored!
The to be televised live first round ties are... Saturday 12th November - Newport County v Shrewsbury Town - ESPN. Sunday 13th November - FC Halifax v Charlton Athletic - ITV1. Sunday 13th November - Morecambe v Sheffield Wednesday - ESPN.
...that's not good, last time we were televised on a Sunday, away, on ITV and in the FA cup was against a certain northwhich Victoria
Pity the Gillingham isn't being televised a lot of Charlton season ticket holders would be able to see their local team play if it were
