Real Madrid have 14 Champions League titles, Liverpool have 6, Manchester United have 3 in their history. Michael Owen has 0 and played for all of them.
I was going to ask if you could say the same for Suarez and Ajax (4), Liverpool (6) and Barcelona (5), but he won it once with Barca.
well... they can't all be fortunate enough to swan into clubs where the final is almost assured. A player might work his whole career and not get to a final or be line KDB and not win one. They might be like Grealish who was a total flop but went on a 3 day bender (or more) to "celebrate" his league win. they could be like gareth bale who swanned up and took a medal last weekend for nothing. I just think the attitude that a carer or a players value is measured purely on plastic terms is a bit sad these days. I'm glad the fans turned out for our lads on sunday and shared in what Klopp would say is a celebration of success and hard work. win lose or draw you should war it up knowing you worked and worked and put it all in. win some, lose some but gave their all. Owen deserves every derision. he made his bed. A player like KDB has took two sports washing doper club's money but he's work very hard for every bit of success.
Talking about the monarchy on the other thread. If we have to keep a monarchy, can't we just make James Milner king? He's a monarch I could get behind.
this is kind of interesting. If you look at the "early" season there is a few assists and stuff that coming from overlapping and good runs in deep. The later stuff (starts after his goal from distance and say the jota league cup brace) is frees, deeper crosses. etc. I just think we lose more from absence of strong overlapping than we gain from him wandering into the middle then standing about. I'd like to see a break down even by match week of were robbo v trent assists happened. I've a feeling trents is a little front loaded and also set peice based and robbos came on a bit later in season but could be wrong.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrew-robertson/leistungsdaten/spieler/234803 Best site to use for breakdown of stats. Just based on prem, 5 assists in first half of season and 5 in second half. CL 1 in group, 2 in knockouts. so pretty even throughout the season Taa - 8 in first half. 4 in second in prem. 3 in group stages. 1 in knockouts. so yeah TAA tailed off in terms of assists second half for sure (albeit still decent). doesn’t show how many were set pieces though
