The media are saying he is the first PM to be found guilty of a crime, because HE IS. The media can only deal in facts sadly for those hypothesising on things that may or may not have happened, because they would be sued for libel for accusing somebody of something they haven't done. If you have evidence of other PM's who have commited crimes I suggest you pass it on to the Police

And this, Ladies and Gentlemen, will be the legacy of Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson. A man bereft of integrity, honour, and truth with a criminal conviction, who has somehow belittled and demeaned the great office of Prime Minister of the UK such that people think "They are all like him". FFS.

Nobody thinks "they are all like him", it's just a convenient argument to deflect from discussing the current situation.

I think that all those who get to the top of their respective parties are like him, in one way or another. Decent and honest people have no skeletons to take advantage of, so they can't be allowed into positions where they can't be unduly influenced by those who know about them.

We've created a system whereby being a good MP stops you from gaining real power while being an absolute bastard is the fast track to the front bench and beyond.

Sorry to intrude with technical things, but I believe that Boris, and his wife, were both issued with fines for breaking the Covid Rules.

It's my understanding that fines are issued when minor infractions have occured.
To date 126 such fines have been issued but it is possible that some people have been fined more than once.
These fines will not be recorded as a conviction on a criminal record asa they are not considered serious,

So, unless I have completely misunderstood your point, (a possibility I admit), then you are in error.

The point is he introduced rules he was in flagrant breach of which he now says he would do again despite also saying he was humbled and will put things right. He has also introduced policies which are in breach of the human rights act. He doesn’t give a **** about the rules and has a long history of discrimination. But you can’t protest. This makes him very dangerous and unfit to be leader. Anyone not seeing this either has their head stuck up their own arse or they support his discriminatory dangerous extremist methods.

I actually believe in this country if people wanted to protest they would and not give a stuff what he says, as long as it’s worth protesting for. It’s not very often I am in full support of a union but I am whole heartedly behind the railway workers at the moment.<ok>

It’s nuts how people seem to accept what Dorries said ‘the jcb man gave us money so we have to stick with Boris’ but moan about unions having a say who are a collective of workers. I often think the union reps are knob heads myself but I know which I’d rather was influencing politics. The masses not one millionaire. It undermines democracy which is about the people not the small number of wealthy individuals. What a **** state we’ve got ourselves into.

    I'm confused AGAIN.

Your comment was apparantly in response to my posting, (number 2972), which was trying to highlight that something claiming to be A FACT, wasn't.

If you have confused this with something in support of our PM, let me assure you I am not a fan of his.

In passing I would mention a documentary i watched recently.
This claimed that when he was PM, Harold Wilson told The House that he had never been given any indication that John Stonehouse was any sort of security risk.
It seems, if their information was correct, that Harold might have been telling porkies.

My point is that we KNOW that Boris broke the rules, but we have no idea if any other occupants of Number Ten have done the same.
The difference is that Boris, being the buffoon that he is, didn't even bother to cover his tracks.
    So he got caught.

It's hard to think of any other Politition who reached high rank who was that stupid.

But anybody who claims that they believe that all Polititions are 100% honest, in all their dealings, ALL OF THE TIME are certain to be disapointed eventually.

You're going into massive detail and speculation but missing what's right in front of you.

No one expects politicians to be squeaky clean paragons of virtue, people knew Johnson wasn't when they voted for him.

No one booed the PM because of a tuppeny ha'penny fixed penalty fine.

They booed because of who and what he is and it's not nice.

I guess what I find frustrating is that people keep arguing over technicalities about the law and law breaking but there are numerous examples of him disrespecting the law, the system, ethics, values, democracy. Some people seem to be arguing about specific detail but the essence of the man is dreadful. Apologies if we are on the same page.

Yes we are on the same page, and apologies are not required.

My original post was mearly meant to highlight an inaccuracy when something which was claimed to be a fact, was nothing of the sort, IF I read him correctly.
