The 54 MPs that wrote to the 1922 Committee expressed ‘no confidence’ and were requesting a “vote of confidence” be held. If you look in different places on the BBC News website, you will find it described as a “confidence vote”, “a vote of no confidence” and a “vote of confidence” because poor old Auntie’s Leftie journalists cannot make their minds up.
