Yeh… sometimes players just suit different formations and different leagues. I think both Koch and llorente have struggled with the physicality of the Prem. Doesn’t make them bad players. I was surprised by the llorente arial stat. Probably made worse by coops being out for chunks of the season, who’s the best we have in the air.
Obviously now he’s married he won’t be getting any, so explains him looking livelier at the end of the season, though he did trip over his nads a few times
They certainly helped. For balance though, if you take away the penalties (which he scored 4 out of 4… and were very important, so I’m not down-playing them) Harrison actually scored more in open play this year.
I guess goals conceded last season might suggest “pretty good” is a bit hopeful. I really don’t rate Llorente, Struijk was a shadow of himself, I’m not fussed if we get Tarkowski or not as I said in my very original post but if we genuinely are then something has to give so a decent amount for Llorente and it would make sense West Ham were quoted £70m for a player aged 29 with 12 months left on his contract? Then Burnley are fools for asking so much, you can’t blame the player? “CB: Diego Llorente - 6/10 - Very alright. Did a nice job of containing Andre Silva but was about as underwhelming in possession as any of Spain's defenders.” https://www.90min.com/posts/spain-1...raw-in-nations-league-opener-01g4jrzt0b94/amp
What about Charlie Cresswell ? If one of the big boys decides to take a punt on him and offer £20M + should we take it ? Jack Clarke looked the real deal but ultimately it proved to be a godsend when Spurs came in and part funded our promotion push.
From my point of view every player has his price so it would depend on the deal. Given his age and experience if someone offered £25M (which has to be considered silly money) then yes I'd take it.
Not me mainly because of his attitude. The lad is a winner and going to be a beast. His value to the squad can't be measured in monetary terms.
Remind us of the first reason .... Was it because you were ugly? Or deformed? Or mentally challenged? Or gay? Or a scum fan? Or was it the obvious one - that you were an Estate Agent?
If I knew how to do a vote, I'd put it up for the lads to have a bit of fun with. Anyone out there able to do it?
lowest pressure penalty ever: - score and we stay up - he demonstrates his cool and adds to his reputation and value. - miss and we go down - he gets his dream move to Barcelona
