You could say the same about any player really even yours if a team with mega bucks comes in I suspect the Modric affair will roll on every window. **** isn't it?
Of course you could, but I think that we've shown that we're willing to turn down massive bids for our players. The same can't be said for Newcastle at the moment.
I agree. You were right to sell Carroll for that amount. It remains to be seen whether Ashley would turn down a serious bid for another one of your players, though. He may well do so, but he hasn't done so yet.
He is, however it's reported up here today we are buying a CB, CM and a striker in January so we should be ok. Never say never but I think we will keep him at least until the end of the season.
With the African Nations likely to keep him outside the country for most of the transfer window, I'd say that you're probably right. I expect there to be some interest in him anyway, but he'll probably stay til the summer, at least.
Who knows if we can beat Stoke on Mon and beat Everton at home the following week I'd say we will be eyeing europa league ourselves. If we achieve that we'll find it easier to keep our best players.
Not if you've got Champions League teams going after your players who are willing to pay the far, far more than you (or we) can afford. That's the way things work at the moment, unfortunately.
It would be a little ironic if we finished above the team that has been trying to prise one of our best players out of the door. There's a way to go yet though....
I'd rather the Toon take 5th than either 'Pool or Arsenal. But then, you lot probably already knew that
Not always actually weve got players from champions league teams like Ben Arfa and Cabaye. Some players just love the toon.
The Premier League is a step up from Ligue 1. Joining a club that's in the Premier League/La Liga and the Champions League seems to be what most players are after. And money, of course. That's extremely important.
I don't think that we're immune to it and I said as much earlier. We could make the top 4 and still lose our better players, as we can't compete financially with the other Premier League teams around the top 4 or Real and Barca.
You're spot on about King, SNIAW. He's extremely important to us, but I hope that Gallas will be able to fill in adequately for him when he's missing. He made the bench today and I hope that he'll start against Rubin Kazan on Thursday with Bassong, so we can rest King and Kaboul for our visit to Fulham next weekend.
Not as much as Chelsea did, SNIAW! Terry might have had a few choice words for him, though. I wonder what his old Senrab teammate has made of that whole mess?
My prediction. 1st Man Utd/Man City 2nd Man Utd/Man City 3rd Chelsea 4th Tottenham 5th Liverpool 6th Arsenal
