Some happy memories there, my 'namesake' Hoddle scored or assisted in each of the five finals/replays we played in during that period including our Lge cup loss to Pool. I think under current rules the og to Hutchinson would have been awarded to Hodd, as his free kick was on target in the 81 final. One of Hodd's greatest ever performances came on the plastic pitch at Loftus Road in the mid-80s. We won 5-2, and he was to paraphrase Mr Hansen, 'simply sensational'.
No, but was at the replay in 81, the best football game I ever saw, all things considered. I was also at Loftus road for the 2-5 and a 1-1 at LR when Greaves my childhood hero, scored after what was a blatant handball by him to control the ball.
I can imagine, you were unlucky in the replay and probably deserved to win. Incidentally, Perryman who lifted the Cup and is in my all-time Spurs XI, came from your neck of the woods, didn't he?
Massive boost for us today, and for Thursday as Bassong can probably play in Russia now. The return of the KING! Football premier-league: Exclusive – Bircham: Taarabt can find form against Spurs | Radio talkSPORT QPR coach Marc Bircham has told talkSPORT that although Adel Taarabt hasn’t been at his best so far this season the Premier League should be wary because he will find his form soon – possibly against his old side Spurs. The forward netted 19 times for the Super Hoops last season as he helped them secure the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League but he has yet to score this season in nine appearances. But Bircham insists the enigmatic star will come good and he could come back to haunt Tottenham who sold him to Rangers after he failed to break into their team. “We’ve not seen the best out of Adel yet, he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast. “As he keeps telling me he’s hit the bar twice and the post twice but something is going to trigger and he’s going to set the Premier League alight for a little bit. “He’s been close to it a couple of times but he’s one moment away from a bit of brilliance and then I think he’ll get on a roll and today could be the day against his old team, he’s got an even bigger point to prove.” iReader Audio: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...–-bircham-taarabt-can-find-form-against-spurs

Well, I'm off down the pub, good luck to Rangers for the season, though not today, obviously. Been good to be on your board, and win, lose or draw I will come back for one last friendly chat.
Apologies if duplicate but can't read 186 entries! Taraabt might make or break today. He will be desperate to impress Harry which will either read to severe under performance and petulance or a storming performance that helps us limp to a draw. Win or lose, COYRssss!!!
Once again logic says only one possible result. But if anything I want us to get something from this one even more than last weekend (it's a family thing between my lot and Spurs, we just detest and despise them, for long forgotten reasons) I've been trying to suppress this all week but am now in a state of near frenzy, and my mates (a mix of Villa, Blues and exiled Gooners - I'm in the Midlands) are threatening to sit on me as we settle in to the pub. COME ON YOU R's!!!!!!!
Are we surprised by Tottenhams early onslaught? Nope Are we surprised that One Size limps off early? Nope
