Easy easy work. Whyte was shocking but it's easy to say when I am not fighting fury. Must be solid. What a beast. Should retire. Nowt left for him.
Round by round Fury let Whyte get a little bit closer, then eventually got him close enough to land the uppercut, looked like a great gameplan.
Fury is too intelligent. He has adapts to what is in front of him and does it easily. Can't see him retiring, but saying he is will increase the purse for the next fight. Hope its AJ as he will finally prove to that lad he isn't in the same league.
What a night last night was. Boxing was mostly garbage but the atmosphere for about 90 mins was absolutely unreal. I have been lucky enough to tick a lot of my sporting bucket list events off (last night was one of them - heavyweight title fight) and it was the best atmosphere I have ever been in. Once the penultimate fight finished it just went up. I admit I gave it the big one for Sweet Caroline - absolutely loved it. Fury is an absolute fans favourite it was all about him. He certainly knows how to create an atmosphere as well. His ringwalk was madness and brilliant. American pie had us all rocking and bouncing and then kings of leon - roof absolutely blown off. The fight was scrappy but every time Fury boxed him the crowd went up. Whyte was light years away. After round 4 my lad said to me Fury can take him anytime he wants now. I actually think he had decided to finish it with an uppercut and the setup was top drawer. Atmosphere was bedlam again. Knackered today but even though the boxing was dire wouldnt have missed it for the world. Just an atmosphere to remember.
Whyte saying this morning that the only reason he lost is that Fury pushed him over and he banged his head on the canvas
Agreed. Bivol is naturally bigger and is a very good boxer in his own right. Had a bit too much. Not sure Canelo can turn it round in a rematch either.
Just rock solid foundation, speed of foot all ways, sharp jab and composed. Really really good. Reminded me of a FMM performance.
