Harry Kane went from being promising player to top drawer, consistent performer who always delivers in the blink of an eye
Ditto Harry Brook now on cricket. That button has been pressed to elevate him to the top level

There are 4 bowlers 2x each side with over 300 wickets, class bowling on show and the wicket doing just enough to unsettle the batsmen but that does not excuse some poor batting

Ridiculous how much we depend on Root and Stokes. Surely we must have another batsman that can contribute. Just every now and again.

Bairstow (when picked), Crawley, every now and again, but there seems to be a dearth of batsmen with a good enough game to play Test cricket.
They should pick Brook, as he had the technique of Root, with the power of Stokes. I think he has the game to be a decent Test player, but he’s got to learn to play the bounce of Australia and South Africa and the ball turning square in India. County cricket doesn’t prepare players for Test cricket.

England win the test thanks to our 1 truly consistent world class batsman. Well played Joe Root and well supported by Ben Foakes this morning

Joe Root scored his 10,000th run at the exact same age as Alistair cook , 31 yrs and 157 days

Massive fight coming up, which is a rematch of Ring magazines 2019 Fight of the Year:

Only problem? It's tomorrow and it's due to start at 11am.
I understand that they're two Asian boxers and it's virtually in Inoue's hometown, but why Tuesday?
Surely Saturday would suit everyone and they'd get far better viewing figures? Odd.
