i think his response was to me mate, we were having a bit back and forth. I do think you'll enjoy the crown posada though, it is like going back in time in there but in a good way.
I remember the Crown. A bit cramped in there. Shocking the Cooperage is lying empty. Someone should take that on…
So - Newcastle - Broad Chare on the Quayside, good beer and excellent food….Jesmond - Collingwood Arms and Scallinis for, food, Gosforth - The County on the high street, great beer pub - food wise try Adrianos - best book as it’s popular, and Ouseburn - Ship Inn.
Sorry, should have included restaurants from the start. Like everyone, I enjoy a good meal, so some recommendations for this as well would be great (lunch specials and dinner). Budget can run the full range.
Restaurants....Newcastle - Malmaison on the Quayside always been good as has '21' , also Hibou Blanc in Bigg Market. Jesmond - Jesmond Dene Hotel, Branches on Osbourne Road or Peace n Loaf, also Dabbawal for 'Indian street food' type thing. Gosforth - Adrianos, Miller and Carter and Bar Luga but both a bit 'chainy'
