    At least those people tried to do something about Ashley.

    I've no respect for the people who kept going and left it up to others to walk away protest and kept going just so they could guarantee their seat if/when the takeover happened.

    Those people weren't prepared to sacrifice anything for the club they claim to support.

    The true fans walked.

    Or they actually thought they could have little influence on the ownership and wanted to watch Newcastle play. I reckon the majority of people who stopped going did so because the football had got very boring. Look at Chippy - he didn't give up his season ticket in protest. It was either due to being bored with the show or as it was a waste as he was shagging Pouchy's wife every weekend while Pouchy was in his hospitality suite.
