Buying Kristenson a full International is an upgrade on Ayling so whats not to like. Will he try Drameh at LB and then have cover on both sides from young Cody? Will Hjelde be used as a LB and emergency CB because he played LB in the SPL?
Yep that's my take on it as well Doc. An international class full back who by all accounts is a very solid citizen
I'd say they're very good based on their CL performances last season. Won all three group games at home against; Lille Wolfsberg Sevilla Winning the final game (h) 1-0 to knock Sevilla out and progress to the RD 16. First leg of the RD 16 they drew 1-1 (h) against Bayern Munich but were leading until the 90th min. Second leg it appears the wheels fell off as they got thumped 7-1 in the Allianz Arena. (Possibly a bit unlucky as they conceded 2 penalties in the opening 21 mins) Aaronson and Kristensen started all 8 CL games for them.
Borusia Dortmund are not a bad outfit, probably way better than us at the mo and they wanted to sign Kristenson. How many prem teams would have Ayling starting? Not many I would say but the new kid would easily get into at least half of them. Another big plus point is its not Traori or De Paul or Kent its a new name
I’ve never been a fan of managers raiding their old clubs, strikes me as a lack of knowledge of players out there, which is surely meant to be Orta’s job. I’m also concerned about how strong that league is.
it’s an outrage. The whole point of this boardis for us all to regurgitate tired old ideas and rumours and passing off option as fact… whilst swhilst ignoring all other opinions and comments. can’t believe it’s taken you so long to get with the program
On the contrary it's a more precise knowledge of certain players and what they will bring. It also give you an edge when more than one club are trying to recruit that player(s) and when the player agrees to the move it's also an endorsement of the current manager/coach and his tactics/man management skills Maybe you've been forever scarred by Warnock signing all his previous has beens with brown paper envelopes allegedly involved ?
Heard that once the Kristensen deal is done Marsch wants a striker, another mid and an experienced back GK through the door. Bit concerned with Firpo at LB with Davis unproven and Dallas/Ayling injured unless he is thinking of sticking Drameh at LB as mentioned earlier, has Drameh ever played LB and looked decent? Or maybe he’s going to stick Harrison at LB/LWB which is probably worth a punt.
Rameh has played at LB for the 23sin fact played in midfield and CB also as a LW. But thats the way Bielsa wanted the players coached. He replaced Huggins at LB if Huggins not played or subbed, but not sure if he played there season just gone
Latest big noises coming from The Athletic and the Wolves journo is that Morgan Gibbs White is being lined up by Leeds. Forest chasing him too and will cost £20m. Was out on loan at the blunts last season scoring a dozen goals and created 10 assists in a No9 role right side?
On the Gibbs White front Cooper the Forest coach who did a brilliant job getting the trees promoted, was also the England kids manager who won the world cup. He knows Gibbs White from the England set up and then when he took over at Swansea he brought the kid in on loan so if hes chasing him he must think highly of him and Morgan GW may refer Forest?
I reckon there will be more than one midfielder coming in as we're linked with O'Brien, Garner and Adams. I reckon they'll be another winger as we're linked to a load of wingers as well.
I'd get Ben Foster in for a season. He is out of contract and wants to compete to be a no.1 and also interested in helping the younger keepers achieve their potential. Good pro, sets high standards in training, looks after himself off the pitch.
