Now that is good news, as good as a new signing, I must admit I thought he was leaving, I have to say I’m impressed with our business so far.

The only downside with Kalas is his wages, once his operation is over and done with I think we’ll see the old Kalas, and alongside Klose I believe that’s a really good championship pairing.

Disagree a little Ashton. NP with his experience should be able to motivate the player. If however the player won't buy into the vision then they can go. But it still stands NP is paid to motivate the squad.

    Someone has to go though as these are our current CB's as I understand it;

    Klose
    Atkinson
    Baker
    Kalas
    Moore
Vyner (he is not a RB)
    Cundy
Naismith (maybe more of a LB?)

Out - Vyner, Moore, Baker and possibly Cundy if he turns down his contract offer, just a rough guess.

I don’t disagree, kind of playing devils advocate, NP says it’s players attitude, players he didn’t bring in, says too many players happy to just “get by”, paraphrasing his comments. To give him the benefit of the doubt let’s see now he’s starting to bring in players of his choice.

It has taken Nige longer than I’d hoped to start to make an impact, although towards the end of the season it did appear he finally had.

In hindsight I wonder whether his health played more of a part in this than he admitted, since his last return he does seem much better, which seems to have highlighted how bad he was previously, at times he looked really rough.

You will summon RR if you carry on questioning Nige. And then it will be your own fault young man.

I can't see all 4 leaving. If they do we will have to replace them with new players for sure.

The proof will be in the pudding as they say. This coming season the "previous regime's" excuses will not hold any longer. I think NP can turn it around, I really do, but for me it's not just the players, it can't be. If it is as RR comments "a holiday" camp, that is bred from the entire management team. Curtis F may look a hard man, but can he coach and inspire that extra 5% out of players when it really matters? For me, based on the evidence this season, the answer is no. The manager can't keep blaming players without looking at the whole picture in context.
It was a more positive last month, but hard to gauge if that was us improving or teams not going up or down switching off early this season?

It's a fair point. If he had it bad it can knock you for 6. Perhaps now he's just getting back into his stride? Let's hope so, our club has the foundations now to move on, we just need the team to do so now!

I will say one thing though if Pearson signs that idiot Danny Drinkwater for City, he's done in my book!

Klose signing is a good thing but I think we need to back off bringing in players that are probably past their best before date, and that would include Drinkwater et al. Now we have to raise some money in the sell-off stakes and invest it wisely to bring in new blood with hunger and ambition.
