Tis possible that Eriksen and Bale could be returning to the fold. Would such a scenario be considered a good short-term (1-2 season span) solution, while the attacking MF talent that would have a 5 season span are procured ??

It feels like no brainers to try and sign both. Immediate injections of quality. Can never have too much quality either.
Ali Gold has given an update this evening: - Djed Spence edging closer. The youngster wants assurances of regular game time. - The plan is apparently to keep Dohertinho and sell Emerson. - There is confidence that the fee and wages for Alessandro Bastoni shouldn't be an issue, but the player himself is mulling over whether it is too early in his career to make the jump to the PL. I have to say, I admire that attitude. Far too many promising youngsters get blinded by the bright lights and dollar signs of a 'big move' and crash and burn under the subsequent pressure. If he doesn't feel ready, we should respect that and perhaps a buy with a loan-back for the season, bring in an elder statesman as temporary cover for the season.
I don't particularly like this, you get regular game time by training hard and playing well. If he doesn't have the confidence to come to us and do well may be he does not have the mentality to be a top player.
It was hardly a Jack Wilshere rant at them, just said that 4th was done after the defeat to us. Brunel said similar on here.

I doubt Perisic watched as many games of them lot as BG did this season, nor that he has superb psychology skills that he could read from the body language in the NLD that them lot would not be up for a dog-fighr in the Toon game. So better to say nothing on the matter IMHO.
Guarantees won’t be contractual of course, you’d have thought. I understand his concern to be fair, so many promising young players make their move too early and get loaned out straight away, never to be seen again. He’s probably looking at an offer from Forest and thinking that even if he signs it and stays for another year or two, he’ll be in the PL longer than them, if they go down. Nothing wrong with a player carefully considering his future, if that’s what this is. It’s an important move in his career. Or, he’s a massive knob, as some of the Twitter stuff that’s surfaced may suggest
