Cooker Hoods: mine needs replacing as not working and control unit is making clicking sound, relays malfunctioning apparently. I hardly ever used the fan but always had the lights on when cooking, very handy for seeing what's going on in the pan. Looking at some on Currys and Wickes as there are stores nearby, and the cheaper ones seem to all say "Charcoal Filter Kit Required" or similar. Is it necessary to get this filter kit or can you just use it without? Really don't want to shell out the best part of a grand on a more expensive product when all I want is a lightbulb above the hob.

It blew the 5 amp fuse in the plug which I could only access after removing the alan keys at the top and pulling away the "chimney", cut my finger on the razor sharp edge of that btw. Only had spare 13 amp fuses so put one in the plug but the clicking from the control unit when I switched on the power suggests it needs replacing. In short: yes.
The hood, the hob, and the oven/grill assembly are all separately replaceable units. Yer either living back in the 1970's or yer being a bit monny. I like Barrie.
See, this is why wimmin should not be allowed near technology or memes. They get neither. I like {your real name}.
Am no a kitchen fitter but unless you have summat really old the hood can be replaced independently. By itself. On it's own. No need to change anything else. Or just get a torch. My giving ****s have just run out. I like Basil.
