Yep was there that day and the reaction was spontaneous....guy got a fecking standing ovation for banging one in our net
Not sure if it's already been mentioned but Middlesborough. Their fans are a bunch of arseholes but I always looked forward to our games with them. And they often give us a game tbf. Nottingham Forest is top of the list though. Glad they're back. Sunderland would be good too.
This is the one, he finished with a rabona not a panenka (****ede if i can remember the stupid names they give these things )
Update my list again... Ipswich Robson Forest Clough Crazy Gang Leeds Revie Pool Paisley United Fergie Everton Kendall Palace Venables Spurs Nicholson Chelsea Jose Celtic don't remember managers Rangers don't remember managers West Ham either Greenwood or Lyall era Bonds/Moore Can't think of any others
+1 for Ipswich and Boro Loved it when Boro had Ravanelli at the club and they got to the FA cup final. One of the most graceful Italian strikers at the time, playing for Juventus. And he decided to come all the way to skanky Teeside to light up Boro
Bolton Wanderers 03/04 has to be regarded as one of the all-time classic PL sides. The fact that Mike Bassett assembled this all-star cast has to go down as a footballing miracle. The link-up play between Campo, Djorkaeff and Okocha was insane at times.
So far from this thread ive learnt one thing Mr Blue Potato is still mash up over the last 10 days events
Good player Ravanelli ... sure he still treasures the losing finalist medal he got in the League Cup final against us . . when eclipsed by the winning goal legend that is Scruffy Stevie Claridge
Loved watching that Boro team. Ravenelli, Festa, Juninho, Branco. And Newcastle under Keegan were just top quality to watch. They had that bald bloke from Georgia who once ripped his shirt off and started attacking the advert hoardings after scoring .
Unforgettable character remember Thomas Gravesen? Another bald mad man…blagged a move to Madrid alongside the Galacticos
