If they stick with the same line up it will be a total joke. At least 3 batsmen don't deserve to keep their places.
Wood and Prest for Currie and Wheal. Drop Dawson down to no.8. Wheal can't bat or field, so can only justify his place if he's bang on it with the ball. Which he hasn't been yet. I don't like Fuller as one of our frontline five, but I'm starting to think we're going to have to do it.
His form in these first three games deserves dropping. But I would prefer seeing if anything changes by extending our batting line-up first. He's chewing up enough dot balls to suggest that he doesn't have total license to attack - but to be a success as an opener, you need to have that. Maybe an extra batter might give him that license.
At least we can't blame the pitch. Essex have illustrated throughout that this is standard Chelmsford.
It just confirms we've signed an utter dud in McDermott. If he can't hit better than a run a ball on that then he really is crap.
20th year of t20, and that is right up there as one of our worst defeats. But if we win the Championship, I'll take losing all 14 t20 games.
As I'm in the USA when Finals Day is on this year I won't be too fussed if we don't make the quarter finals. As long as we continue our good work in the CC.
Really hoping that the rumours aren't true about England leaving out Brook this week. Firstly, because the guy is in the form of his life. But secondly, because the second test clashes with our four day match vs Yorks. If he's left out of the first test, he'll be left out of the second - which likely means he'd be released to play against us.
