Is that a polite way of saying I am talking crap? :) I would also tend to disagree with that, after the Hungarian GP this season James Allen was hinting that the reason Hamilton got his penalty was because the stewards had something against him. Besides this is a forum not a high end newspaper of news website and just because I might express a more radical opinion it does not make it childish.

They sometimes release explanations but it seems sporadic and random in when they do it.

Hamilton was not along side Massa at best he was 3/4 up along side him so the onus is on him to make sure the overtake is clean. Massa knew Hamilton was there and he does seem to be a dirty driver and was certainly never going to give Hamilton any room, but he was ahead (just) and kept to the racing line so the penalty is a bit strange. There is a lot of animosity between the two drivers and it is spilling out on the track and could become very dangerous so both drivers need a talking to and possibly further action.

What I noticed was the different exhaust note of the Red Bulls over corners. Much more 'throaty and misfire-y' than the other teams.

Puts their corner downforce advantage in the spotlight once again. Allied to the car floor - must be the speed factor?

Ha! Well, I always try to be polite when I post and as such wouldn't use that turn of phrase. I simply think your differing opinion is perhaps in error.

Indeed? I had a quick look on his website but couldn't see anything. Was it on TV or an article?

You're correct, this website isn't a high end news paper but it could be a high end website if the comments were put forth with eloquence. Of course your opinion is not childish, but I felt the way you expressed it in your comment was. However, seeing as that wasn't your attention, shall we leave it there?

Perhaps, if enough noise is made about it at the next FOTA Fans Forum this may become a reality.

I was under the impression that as long as the overtaking driver had his car half way up his opponents car, he is deemed to have the corner? In any case, they showed replays of Massa looking in his mirrors at Hamilton into the corner, so he knew he was there, but turned in anyway. I think that is probably what swayed the stewards decision.

Neither driver is having the best of it at the moment but I would hope that, considering recent events in motorsport, both drivers will soon bury the hatchet.

I think given the reliability of the cars, its a done deal. Hams worst season against one of Jensons best, im a bit surprised the gap isnt bigger. I dont think Lewis could ever have a more worse season so next year should be interesting.

On a slight tangent, is anyone watching the interview with Adam Parr on the red button? He sounds nothing like I thought he would. He sounds like a student fresh out of private school!

The answer to that is that Jensons first half of the year wasn't great (Apart from Canada) with two mech DNFs. Lewis was 25 points ahead after Germany. Its only been from Hungary that there's been a huge difference between them. Since then Jenson has scored nearly double the points of Lewis.

Hamilton was clearly in the wrong with the crash. EJ's argument that Massa could see him is ridiculous, is he implying that Hamilton couldn't see Massa? Hamilton was nowhere near making an overtake, he slid his nose up the inside and just expected Massa to jump out of the way. The decision to penalise Massa was outrageous, but that's what happens when you have a British steward and a driver who cries foul every time he doesn't get his way.

Jenson has had a couple of mechanical DNFs which Hamilton hasn't. Also, the fact that Vettel has cleared up so many wins has compressed the rest of the field. Jenson's been miles better this season.

sorry Ab, but that was totally Massa's fault. Massa seems to have copied schumachers penchant for dirty driving and has crossed the line many times this season, Massa knew he was there and turned in anyway, no doubt hoping he could run crying foul to the authorities again after the rather childish 'Hamilton Summit' he organised. Massa has tried to run a few people off the road this year and seems to have gotten away with it every time.

What I would like to know about massa, was he really looking in his mirror or was he just preparing his head for the corner, just interested.

So if Ayrton Hamilton wants to come through any driver in front has to run clean off the road or be involved in a crash? That's not racing. <ok>

Ok, yes I see and agree with the point you were making now and maybe the way I put my comment was a bit provocative and imprudent. I still stand by my comment though.

Here is the article. I thought that bringing up that McNish was the driver steward for Monaco as well and hinting that he has got something against Hamilton was a bit unprofessional.

I honestly do not know what the rules are because they seem to change incident to incident. I think all F1 fans just was transparency and consistency from the stewards and releasing the reasoning for all their decisions would go a long way in solving this.

That was very dangerous driving from Felipe and no one should say it was Hamilton's fault. Imagine if Hamilton was Barrichello and Massa was Schumacher and Massa had revenge thoughts in his head when on a pit straight ? Hamilton could have been crushed into the wall. Massa is a dirty little ****er. Lewis is a immature and broken driver.

This. I don't think the stewards are biased, just woefully inconsistent to the point where you could easily build a case for a driver who's in a lot of bother (Hamilton and Schumacher) being harshly/leniently treated.
