    Alisson
    TAA Konate VVD Robbo
    Fabinho
    Bellingham Thiago
    Salah Mane Diaz

Might need to look at our squad depth though I can only see the following being good enough for the future.

    Elliot
    Matip
    Kelleher
    Tsimikas
    Gomez
    Hendo
    Keita
    Jota
    Bobby
    Minamino
    Jones
    Carvalho

So as we can see it's a struggle and something the owners must address or our squad that is a mix of youth and experience is really in trouble.

    Thanks for reading.

    More refresh than rebuild imo.

A signing or 2 in midfield and 1 upfront and we are good to go for now.

There has never been a team in history that couldn't be improved on Ours is no different. If only to the squad as Klopp clearly doesn't trust some of them and consequently plays the same players too often.

Plus last season is in the past.

    Fresh start today.

I encourage anyone to look back to their vote in the transfer window poll I did and see what you expected and 2nd, 2 cups and a cl final was way above what most thought.

By all means have a bit of a moan now but it's all done and dusted and we have to just look forward to the first game of a new season

I'm not having a moan. The reality is that our rivals will seek to improve. Man City have already done so. Utd have a new manager with new ideas. We can't afford to stagnate.

This summer is going to be "interesting" as Utd will be having a clear out / spending spree same at Chelsea but more in sense replace those who have already done a runner add to that Spurs now have money to spend plus worryingly evidence they are now actually spending it well .
oh and Arsenal will spend fairly big again but still have Arteta so ....

Really hope we sign a proper CF this window and from what we saw in CL would love Nunez but think we will be priced out .

Not much is needed but I feel 2 top quality signings will be enough to win us a couple more trophies next season.

For me, the biggest need is in midfield, in particular the right side of midfield. We don’t have anyone who is dynamic and can run with the ball at speed, and score goals. Naby was supposed to be that player but Is now a tidy, efficient player and Hendo has never been that kind of player, Bellingham or Tchouameni are the ideal options

In attack - we need someone to replace Mane. Nkunku from Leipzig is one of those few players who has goals and assists to his games, and can play across the front line.

Then we need a couple more players to provide cover. A DM to become the next Fab is something we need to keep an eye on. Now if we get Tchouameni, then it silves for this problem because he really does tick all the boxes.

Back up to Trent has been needed for a while. A right sided kostas would be nice

Surely we develop Elliott rather than spend?

    That's the klopp way.

In ant event we need to get back to basics week 1 or preseason and work even harder.

The players not going to world cup are interesting me. Salah and Diaz get a 6 week break for that barrell of sports washing.

Elliot can be a good option but he doesn’t have the power or speed to dribble past players. I want that dynamic midfielder.

Salah and diaz will be getting two preseasons throughout the season. I really expect Mo to smash records

no he doesn't you are right. he can be a busy player but he won't have that pace but kdb (the best in the business) doesn't have that either so i'm not sure exactly who you are thinking of as an RCM that has that pace. Midfield is more about positional sense and ability to run all day.

eliotts biggest issues imo were being dragged out of position and opening passing lanes up. Its about pressing machine and then ability to react.

hendersons problem is taken 5 touches and passing back or worse hoofing a mad blind cross over everyone and away for a throw in <laugh>

when he plays it quick or a through ball he can actually do it well.

But then this argument could be extended to jones. Sucky posted his MOTM display v porto and if you look at that he is in that zone of passing it on and moving and its all quick and move not jog and stop and pass back "safely" really for me its about intent. nothing on. move the ball quick and move yourself to open it up. dont' blindly knock it between 3 em stood 5 yards apart blindly while real set up.

IMO dynamic = speed of thought not speed of legs. everyone needs to move and be moving.

Elliot is super talented and there will be minutes for him. Same with jones.

Hendo is just a safe option whilst Naby is holding back.

We need real quality now. I want a prime Gerrard for that role. The key word for me is dynamism. An 8 who will get into the box.

the big asset of a lampard was waddling late into the box. I don't really think people getting in the box is a great option given our ****ing forwards won't.

IMO we need KDB type. We need someone who wants to find the half spaces and be willing to drive at the box or pay the pass or shoot.

I am surprised Elliot didnt get more game time after he returned from his injury. Whenever I seen him play looks like he can play some difficult passes and offers something different then the side to side passing a lot of our midfield provide. I actually think he could of made a difference against Spurs and on Saturday.

He was brilliant up until his injury but struggled when he returned. Think Klopp just took him out of the spotlight to give him more time to get fully sharp without the added pressure

I agree he struggled a little when he came back but would have liked to have seen him get 20 minutes here and there to get some match sharpness back and not completely dropped altogether. Our major problem still is playing against teams that camp the 18 yard box we need a Coutinho type player that can play through balls and isnt afraid to shoot from outside the box.

Was great pre injury, but looked way out of his depth when he came back. I think klopp hoped he continued where he left off, but clearly not and then didn't play again.
