They should be able to clear the track without stopping the race

Perez in a right position here - are they all expecting to stop again if it stays dry and whack on a medium set?

Perez would likely be thinking hold position and go long and make himself wide??

Max and Charl surely would be thinking about going for the faster tyre and putting the pressure on?

And now the race director is taking far to long to give full safety car.

    My god.

It's amazing how fragile these cars are this year and honestly.monaco shows again why some drivers aka latifi and Schumacher are not up to this level. One is in f1 for no reason nor name.

A bit baffling that it split, the impact didn't look that heavy.

They are designed to split on heavy impacts but it didn't look that heavy. Maybe breakaway spec too low?

Sainz called no inters. Ferrari then covered both angles by pitting le clerc who never complained and then suddenly it's all gone to pot.

Red bull just went early enough to gain which is easy call cos they are behind tbh

Shame cos Russell was charging there and well.. they could all lose tyre temp now and be shot from here....

Weak. Sheared off gear box from rest of engine.

It didn't even hit anything hard and it was the tekpro soft stuff

These cars seem clear more fragile that last year.

The only thing is- are they designed to do that to dissipate energy?

Seeing the rear axle/gearbox loose concerns me as it could be a big chunk of weight heading towards driver or another car! Safety is always a balance.

I do feel for Leclerc. Two dominant performances and not even a podium to show for it.

Pole conversion rate is now 4/14, and most of those 10 losses were not his fault.

They should do a standing start which allows cars to start in position instead of starting g behind safety car to allow lapped cars to pass. Another stupid decision.

Not even a standing start on a dry track here.

What the actual hell is this race director like.

    Fire him immediately

Are both sides of grid dry as there was only a single dry line before? Those on dry line would have big advantage.

What are Ferrari doing with tyres?

    Hards vs medium Red Bull?

Inviting trouble potentially that is unless the mediums just give up!

Only 45mins of racing max left so mediums seem better bet.

Sainz, LeClerc and Norris all staying on 10 laps old tyres??

Do they think a used tyre will somehow be better?

    weird
