When he has a go for the reporter asking a question. Then realised he is being sour, and answers fully.
Some of the unfortunate RS waiting to get in could have done with some of Klopps lemons. Help with the tear gas.
French Sports Minister, Amelie Odea-Castera, in the control centre of the Stade de France, Gerald Darmanin said: "Thousands of British "supporters", without tickets or with counterfeit tickets, forced entry and sometimes assaulted the stewards. Thank you to the very many police forces mobilized this evening in this difficult context.
UEFA later issued a statement saying there will be a review into the chaos that marred the final. "In the lead-up to the game, the turnstiles at the Liverpool end became blocked by thousands fans who had purchased fake tickets which did not work in the turnstiles," the statement read. "This created a build-up of fans trying to get in. As a result, the kick off was delayed by 35 minutes to allow as many fans as possible with genuine tickets to gain access.
Some of the tear gas used was at French youths, not Liverpool fans. Pepper spray was used directly it seems at Liverpool fans.
Morning. I'm always too emotional during the game to call it clearly and I'm certainly not going to watch highlights. From my memory we had 3 clear cut chances and took them well but their keeper had a great game. We played better in the first half and they had more control in the second but didn't really threaten us other than their goal. That's the way it goes sometimes. Disappointed and it does (at the moment) spoil the season a bit but we have to look at it and celebrate winning both domestic cups. I imagine that will become easier as tomorrow or the next day.
Runners up in the league, the CL and winning two cups in the same season .... any club other than city and Liverpool would consider that a great season imho. It will be interesting to see what happens to Salah. Iirc he lost the ACON final, failed to score in all 3 of your cup finals and failed to qualify for the World Cup...all in 5 months...his form also dipped in the prem since January...could be a lot to mentally recover from. Read on Thursday that Mane was staying but yesterday and today there are reports of Mane wanting out. That's possibly the biggest loss you could have.
Salah has already said he's staying next season, perhaps that means he'll leave on a free at the end of next season but he'll be 31 then and we've had great service from him. Also means that we'll know if he's leaving and will have time to plan for it. Mane indicated he's staying and I expect that will come in the next few days. It was a great season, just doesn't feel like that right now.
I know Salah is staying but it'll be interesting to see how long it takes him to get over the very big disappointments he's had.
he managed to bounce back after being forced out at Chelsea. But could the owners regret not cashing in on a transfer, possibly leaving for free next summer.
Scored in 9 goals in 26 games (scoring in just 7 of those games) in 2022 for Liverpool. From August to December 31st he scored 22 in 25 games! Failed to score in 3 Cup finals and he is usually a big game player. Disappointments can and do affect players and I just wonder if the ACOn and World Cup disappointments has affected him and if they (along with the league and CL disappointments) will continue to do so.
Yeah he's not been great since Afcon. Saying that though he had his chance yesterday and Courtois just saved it, (same with the earlier curling effort) nothing wrong with the run and shot and on another day he puts us back in the game. Same Vs Wolves got the goal to put us in control it was just that City meant that it didn't matter. So he isn't always playing badly. I don't know, he's not been himself but I just don't expect it to be a problem next season.
