There are three possible answers to your question of what was before. The first is that the Big Bang created both space and time. As such there was no such thing as "before" the Big Bang, because there was no time.

Another possible answer is that the universe will ultimately stop expanding and will shrink back into a singularity again. This "Big Crunch" would lead to another Big Bang and the creation of another universe. The universe will exist forever, and has always existed, in a series of continuous cycles.

The third answer is that as our universe, on which all our physics is based, was created in the Big Bang. Therefore before the Big Bang the laws of physics did not apply, and we cannot begin to imagine or explain what came before. As a result, we created the idea of God to explain things that we cannot understand.

Now I'd like a simple answer from you as a religious man. If nothing can become something without a trigger of some sort, what was the trigger for the creation of God?

Matter is what created it. So its possible for there to be nothing while at the same time everything always being there.

the complexity of the Universe is beyond our understanding to be fair. Its so vast we would be searching throughout time for the conclusive answer. I would simply put it down to everything always being here even when it wasnt. Sounds impossible but the laws of our earth dont always mean the same in space.

So in the simplest possible way it goes, matter, big bang, universe, explansion, shrinking, increase of pressure turns everything back to matter and everything goes again.

Yes I think your second one is what i am referring to. I think this is most likely aswell. I suspect everything always existed in its simplest form and reactions over billions and billions of years create what we see around us.

The building blocks of everything are heat and light anyway and a massive explosion would create both in abundance. Matter is so dense yet cannot be seen, hence having nothing whil having everything, the density would reach a tipping point and BOOM.

Just like weather its a cycle.

Actually the building blocks of everything is energy, which can convert between heat, light and even matter. And energy cannot be created or destroyed, so if you have energy you have everything you need for an infinite universe with no boundaries in space or time.

Well yeh. Im not clued up on this. Everything I said is my own view on it without any reading up on the subject.

I think you can create energy.......or is it simply transfering it from one form to another?

You can only transfer it from one form to another. Pretty much everything that happens in the universe is just the transfer of energy from one form to another. Even thinking is the transfer of energy from chemical potential energy into electrical energy in the brain.

And yet, that is the basis of religion. Belief is central to every religion no matter where it came from and you are "poo-pooing" someone else's belief stating that it is not good enough.

I put it to you then that your belief in a dusty old tome written a millenium ago is also not good enough.
I also put it to you that your belief in a mystical, invisible, omnipotent, omniscient being is also not good enough.

Where did he/she/it come from? If you believe in a god, whatever it's form or origin, you cannot just ignore the belief of an evolutionist theory which suggests an alternative. In effect, both arguments say the same thing.... that it (god/the universe) has always existed in some form or another. Neither is currently able to prove the accuracy of that belief but people believe variations of one or the other theory. It's their right to believe and discuss in the same way that it is your right to believe in a god.

For you, who have repeatedly berated people for narrow-mindedness (amongst other things), to then make such a ridiculously narrow-minded response to someone answering a question you posed just proves you fail to practise what you preach.

    Ok then:

Energy can be neither created nor destroyed.
    Neither can quality.
Arsenal have no quality and no way to create any.
    Therefore Arsenal are ****.

    That better?
