Not sure how that was offside? Ball came off Konate, back into Fabinho and through to Benzema? I can see the first one being a deflection but surely if hits 2 players and is going away from goal before coming back to goal, should be given?
Generally dominated, but the one chance they had we looked ****ing shambolic. That's enough encouragement for them I'm sure.
So we bossed the first half and had umpteen chances/shots on target. They got one half chance and netted and we were so so lucky to get away with that
They didn’t score, 15 mins to regroup. This is a huge pitch we need to run from midfield more to get in between the spaces instead of just hitting it wide to Salah, who getting no space or room at all. We are too slow with the passing side to to side.

Crap half. Clearly the better side. Nobody wanting to take a risk or run in the box so all very slow slow slow. Real.never made.a thing but we construed a situation to let them save and tbh I think they long var was trying to figure out who played that ball to benzema. We are afraid to take a risk and need to get a hold of ourselves. Lots of half chances where real didn't make a tackle and we get an average shot. He was for sure on for the first one 100% In England this goal gets given. In uefa its clear the ball was played forward marginally and benzema.was off but its then there was no controlled play by us. Konate needed to smash it there and if that meant alisson was in the way ok. Can't do what he did there.
Hmm I think Peter Walton explanation makes sense. But at same time, I think that’s a grey area. I understand deflections don’t count, but fact it comes off Konate, goes back out away from goal and then hits Fabinho and back to benzema is an iffy one.
Because Benzema is in an offside position and the ball was deflected to him off Fabinho, then Benzema is still offside as it was not deemed to have been played at by Fabinho.
Mane looked dangerous at times. He’s pooped into that false 9 role and into spaces and got the ball on half turn. Actually though he could have gone down at one point in box when got the ball, took a touch on the turn and defender just kicked his foot but stayed up and then had a shot blocked out for corner
