right so it looks like leon will also miss out on the trip to stoke with tonsilitus...so surely this gives pardew to use the 4411 formation he said he was keen on but the question is who do we play in the number 10 role? by all accounts benny was not good on thursday and marv suposedly was pur best creative player...and with obertan acctually looking really good when he came on (lee ryder) maybe we should consider playing marv in the hole as he seems much more of a two sided then benny who always seems inclined to drift onto the wing...so either have him or ober or benny on the right and jonas on the left to confuse the **** out of a slow stoke defence who have not been solid this season...no doubt pardew will play lover though...

I think it should be Ben arfa, he might not at his best but theres only one way he will be and thats by starting these type of games. Even if he doesn't play brilliantly he can always have a moment of class and slot someone through or a cheeky shot.

I'd go with him over marv in that pos.

Yeah I thought that swell from before he came to us, but apparently par dew knows best (which is probably true) and he's not gunn a play him on the wing. There bust be a reason, but I would have thought his ability to beat a man , his pace would have made him a mint winger.

... Maybe its the complete lack of defensive ability that makes him unsuitable for a wing? Considering our full back are our weakest spot too that probes does make sense

 

I think it's the defensive part, however I think he won't get to use his pace as much in the middle.
