It's alright because I can swim, but then again perhaps someone else needs to take the wheel.

Cracking signing by Nige -excellent bit of business and on a free.

Just signed a playoff teams player of the season for nothing! Naismith mainly played left of a back 3, but I remember against Portsmouth last season he played right wing! And he gave Cam Pring a very hard game. A ridiculously versatile player. I expect him to be left back for us

Very impressive signing, getting good business done early is going to be influential imo. Looking good so far.

Nigel is doing almost exactly as I thought by bringing in good players without breaking a sweat or certainly the bank. We need to break the stale Bristol City mould and move forward in a different way and I can see the reshape happening in front of my eyes with the deals already done and dusted. Another aspect that won't go unnoticed is the speed in which the deals were completed which will give us greater flexibility if and when the overstocks get shifted and we have some cash to bring in even more suitable players for NP's work in progress.

Getting Luton's player of the season on a free is a good bit of business

Wow now THAT is a very very good signing. The last time I felt like this about a signing was when LJ managed to land Tammy.
    Well done Nige.

back in the day ... last decade it was part of the plan to bring in "low cost/ free" players develop and sell on... it sort of worked then got greedy [ MA ] whilst MS @ 24 not quite in the mould the other part was to sign a player/s with experience to help the youngsters!!!

so far it is about par for wage bill ?

It will be interesting to see if he stays next season, personally I think he’d be better off staying another season, he’s more likely to get games and continue his progression here, however if a PL club makes a big offer, it’ll be difficult for the club & player to turn down.

Maybe a compromise would be for a PL club to buy him and loan him back to us for a season.

Some derisory comments from the Hatters fans. Just not having to live in Luton should be reason enough to leave the club. Probably the worst town in the south of England! I lived in Harpenden in 2019&20 so know how rough Luton is.
Hats off to them as they have punched week above their weight in their 2 seasons back in the second tier. I think next season might catch up with them if they lose a couple more of their better players.

I think that’s why we got him - I think he (or his agent) recognises that Luton have overachieved (fair play to them) but can’t sustain it.

I never realized what a mess Luton is until my cousin's ex told me he used to teach there but due to threats from parents he had to leave town and work elsewhere. Many years ago I watched a video about a young woman who returned to Luton after some years away and was shocked at what she was witnessing including harassment from a religious parade about her way of dressing followed by continual threats about her falling afoul of the supposed local sharia police. What the hell has happened to allow this kind of threatening issues from immigrant populations on the long term English residents? I almost felt the same vibe around the streets of Milton Keynes during a visit to Bletchley Park when I stopped over in England to see City at Wembley (another scary place where I did not feel comfortable). Is the takeover complete yet?

Looks like the Luton failed to announce the Naismith departure to their own supporters. Sounds like something WE might have done!!!
