Found in his flat in Leeds today, he was 84.
Not a fan of his and look forward to the real Jimmy Saville story now being told.

Story appearing in a few Scottish papers is that Leicester want Neil Lennon from Celtic. Judging by how bad he has been as Celtic manager, then I would imagine the thought of this actually happening, is the stuff of nightmares for the Leicester fans.

I remember Jimmy way back in the early 60's always OTT but a nice man, he's raised lots of money for charity and was always proud to be a Leeds lad.
When I first met him he was the manager of the "Old Mecca" wich was located in what was known then as the "Mecca Arcade"in the centre of Leeds.
He was really just about the first DJ playing records in a dance hall, anyway he left the Mecca and was on Top of The Pops, while I still carried on going to the Mecca, you could not drink in dance halls but in the same building there was a club you could join called the Tudor Club, in which you could buy bottles of beer it was Luke warm and tasted like "cats Piddle".
Which reminds me of a Leeds United related story, in mid to late 60's most of the Leeds first team would go to the Mecca and into the Tudor Culb which also had a tiny dance floor and a " juke box". One who seemed to be there every time (and I went sometimes six nights a week) was Gary Sprake who was not that popular with the "Mecca Crowd" men and one night there was a fight poor Gary got a right punch in the teeth, of course the bouncer were in very quickly and stopped the incident. Gary had blood all down his suit (we all had to wear a suit and tie to get in) and he was helped out.
The next day in the YEP in stated Gary would miss this weeks game after picking up training ground injury.
It couldn't happen now or it would all over "Twitter".

Only comparable feat for Leicester is the guy who mixed 2 curries together.

He was apparently involved in the Jersey ***** scandal, among other things. I guess we'll see more from the papers as and when.

looking forward to the real story of Mr Saville now coming out, unless his family try to block what the media have been wanting to put to press for some time.
Wonder what ever happened to Jonathan King!

Had a little cringe earlier while reading about his funeral & all the effort that went in to it. All the plaques, naming streets, dang why did the story take so long to come out, just think of all that wasted brass!
