I think if we are all honest 8 points was beyond most of our wildest dreams......Like you I thought 6 but hey who cares well done the Saints!!
I thought 6 would be good and more would be great..well it was great. 2 Wins and 2 draws against these sides was an excellent result from October's games. Although West Ham won today, we got another 2 goals on them. GD could yet be important.
I think you'll get promoted. You're so consistent. The only points you've dropped have been away and in for the most part you've managed to get good draws away like Reading! You're just so hard to beat. And Hampshire will have some Premiership representation again. Woo!
I think PompeyLapras is just trying out the idea of changing support to Saints. See PL..? It's not impossible.
I really think that we're gonna win the title but I know that this could all change round and it's a very tight division,i'm not gonna get carried away though just take 1 game at a time.
While I have no doubt that it's much more enjoyable to be a Southampton fan than a Portsmouth fan currently, I'm afraid I can't become a Saints fan, but I'm appreciative the fact that you would welcome me to become a Southampton fan apparently!
Whilst I do have some rules which I would adhere to myself, in being a fan of a football club 1] being that it's your hometown club, and/or 2] It's your adopted club, in the place where you live; I don't expect others to follow that ruling. Plenty of people follow ManU and have never gone near Old Trafford. In fact, many of them have never gone near a football. But I also understand that people like to witness success and be in on the enjoyment of it. It's nice to come across another Pompey fan who will see past the old rivalry [yes there are quite a few on here] and that you can steal yourself to appreciate Saints success. It might seem rare [or it might not] but I am happiest when all South Coast teams are doing well, very much including Pompey. Of course, don't expect me to wish Pompey to outdo Saints, but if your lot could be promoted along with us, or maybe in a few seasons, I'd be really pleased for you. My greatest wish would be to see a real competitive presence of South Coast teams in the Premier League, from Brighton, all the way down to Plymouth Argyle, with Saints leading the charge. Sadly, that doesn't look as it's going to happen, so it's upto us to show the way. Just hurry up and sort your club out so you can keep us company.
