That seems like a relegation. Part of the Conte/Paratici reshuffle?

I don’t know too much about the language of these things, but from my understanding, this is ENIC getting serious. $150m into the club. Big news if my reading of it is right as it opens up the door for serious investment in the team, though I imagine the money will be used for some off-field stuff as well.

Which begs the following questions :

    1. have PL +/- UEFA FFP rules etc only made this possible now ??

2, and if the answer is no. WTF did ENIC not do similar during Arrys' time etc ??

2- They have the income from the new stadium now to be able to invest in the team. I know they could have done more before, but the stadium changes our financial position.

I think doing it before the stadium build wouldn't have worked for two reasons....it would have been too risky and it would have made it harder to secure so much borrowing for the stadium as the lenders would have wanted the club to take a bigger share.
As it is, this is little more than giving the club the ability to spend next year's revenue in advance which is neither risky nor likely to impinge on any covenants to bondholders.

To have given Arry 30m odd in in the 2011-12 transfer windows, when :

    1. a CL slot was lost by 1 pt

    2. the opportunity was there to usurp them lot from their
CL piggy trough, and to possibly have become a regular

    3. that would have made THFC a far more sound
proposition to potential lenders for the new WHL build

True if spending the £30m actually had the desired result. If not there was no route to getting it back. It was too early in the process.
Also Harry wasn't someone like Conte really.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
For an owner worth billions, a wager of that scale is nothing.

So if it is the case that was is being done now, could have
done to whatever level then, a plague be upon Joe Lewis.

    Beaucoup de fromage....mmmmmmmm!

    Halle-bloody-leujah!

I've been advocating this since it became apparent that the cost of the stadium build was going to increase significantly - about 5 years ago. It's a shame that we had to see the sacking of Nuno, an honourable and decent man who had no business being our manager, to reach this point...but I'm not going to complain.

This gives the club and the management of the football team, a chance to match the world class stadium and a world class coach with the team on the pitch.

This is investing for success. Now give Conte and Paratici the bloody lot and let's go shopping!

You don't become worth billions by splashing out millions without a sound business case.
The only club who has improved more than us under ENIC is Man City.

Please, the man effectively made his fortune on a
financial gamble at least two orders of magnitude
greater than 30 odd million for Spurs to try and do as
    I stated.

For Spurs, it effectively reflects the "season compass"
measure of the period of 18 pts gained and 15 pts lost
(the variability in wins meant a punter would get varying - better - odds) .

Citeh and the Poool effectively had a net return of zero
(no variability in their likelihood of winning games) .
