If he comes it will be interesting to see how good he actually is. Not very quick but he has superb positional sense making up for it, he also engages into the slide tackle straight away rather than just ushering a player, this may get penalised more in here than in France . However I think we'll sign someone quicker along the N'dicka or Bremner route than Botman now.
Yes there's a few turnips that think it's just funny because they take the piss out of their mates, but that's completely different.
Okay........Here's an update on Targett. It is still on, club asked his Mrs to either delete or alter her instagram post and she has done. Now says "What fun we've had, Forever proud of you"
A pissed-up Grealish said that Mahrez had played like Almiron vs. Villa. Find it a really odd comparison and comment. Why, when drunk, is Grealish thinking about Miggy?! It's a really weird one. But maybe it's quite telling that everyone knows Almiron is just a headless chicken with no end product - goes back to comments I made previously about playing ASM, Wood and Almiron as your front three. ASM can be over-marked because the other two pose little to no threat. Still, will be interesting to see how Grealish gets on next season vs Trippier.
It's just school boy piss taking out of a player that he's isn't the best of players, but gives 100% every ****ing time. I don't like that kind of thing at all... Anyone thinking it's just funny is as juvenile as they're and I would bet they'd be the type to fire back with bile of it was then being mocked publicly. Jack Grealish is a drink driving little tosser that wouldn't last 5 minutes in the street.
I just searched for it and watched out. So cringey thay Grealish is falling around all over the place and badmouthing players from other teams. But the real question is why the comparison to Almiron? There are much ****ter players in the league, and Almiron is hardly a poster boy for poor play.... why was Almiron the first player to come to Grealish's mind? Until he has some unknown grudge agaimst him.
Possibly because Almiron and him get the same amount of starts when the better members of the squad are fit.
Its sad to think that Miggy and ASM pretty much carried the team for lots of last season, but now they both seem to be bywords for wasted chances, losing the ball, bad crosses etc. Obviously never any lack of effort, but the result ain't there at the end. With Bruno and Joelinton doing slick passing from midfield, we've got to work the passing game, the "all effort no end product" from ASM amd Migz looked good when the rest of the team was rubbish, but now they're looking like the weak links.
It's a different era we're entering with a different tactical style. Bruce ball allowed the likes of ASM and Miggy to collect the ball from halfway and go on ong rampaging runs that got fans of their seats as long ball got pumped to the wings. We now play through the middle first so the spotlight isn't on them as much. I will say I have loved ASM and been frustrated in equal measure but to his credit that pass for Wilson the other day was sublime. If he keeps that level up then I'm all for him staying.
ASM has definitely adapted, he slaughtered Arsenal last week. He still needs to reign it in sometimes though, ie those mazy runs that never go anywhere need to resuly in more passing. The ball hogging is too reminiscent of Ben Arfa at his worst.
Max got an assist he's being coached for sure and when your learn new things you go backwards before you go fwds. I think it's possible he becomes a terrific player.
He already is a terrific player, just needs to be assimilated into the style. We've seen this can definitely happen as he was excellent vs Arsenal and good against Burnley.
I believe ASM can adapt and develop too, I have concerns regarding his off the pitch antics more than his on pitch performances - that's the worry I have. But new season new start.
And not forgetting the pass up the line to Joe leading to the OG in the previous game. He is learning and adapting but still has a way to go. Too many people jumping on his back because he isn't beating 5 men and crashing a goal in every time.
Which are what you need to be a terrific player. He can adapt to Howe's style in a way that Ben Arfa couldn't cos Ben Arfa always wanted to be the focal point with his endless runs that went nowhere.
Exactly he's not a terrific player he's got terrific skill and ability. A Terrific player isn't lacking or required to learn how to play he already knows.
I would say ASM is exactly the same as Ben Arfa with less ability. Just my opinion and I guarantee @Ben 10 shares this
