Daz, you were sitting just in front of us, I bet you had a sore head with my wife and her sister shouting their heads off
Ha ha no way man! Tell them I said hi! Loved how friendly the whole place was. Just saying to my dad earlier I didn’t see a single argument the whole weekend. And then there’s the lad next to me who was absolutely sobbing with pure joy. Almost set me off.
I had a lump in my throat when he started, it just shows how much this club means to us. I have never experienced an atmosphere like that in my life, it was unforgettable. I will tell them you said hi
Appologies as its not a photo...& blog carry ons are not really my cup of tea...plus lads a bit odd, although very complimentary about us. might not be able to stand watching lots of it, but view he has of us is might & worth skipping to the goals just to see that angle of the absolute carnage when we score, better if you can put youtube on your tv. we were all part of those moments & those memories will live with us forever, great to bump into a few on here Don't know why first one didn't work, think second is clips of his footage
From the Argyle. Off the top of my head there's @Whittylad, Wakey, Sheff, my son, @The Professor, Kev, Cris, @Chunksafc? What a day, what a day!
Brilliant shot mate. The old fella, in the black overcoat, had an original 1973 shirt on that he wore on that day. Great bloke and kept everyone entertained with his stories. He just arrived then suddenly vanished, not sure if he was real or a spirit from the past.
Definitely real....with cracking stories. from London, real london accent, evacuated 1939 to sunderland (correct me if wrong smug), returned to london post war, marriage, relationships all used to have go about him likeing to turn out for few pints, why does he need to etc...his reply in a London accent "because im northern" said after his time during his time evacuated he classed himself northern after that
The Portuguese club we ended up in near our hotel ... ... ffs, more illegal immigrants than a Dover dinghy
