If they can’t beat Wycombe in front of that crowd they should all get the bullet. Funnily enough I have never felt more confident than I do for this match.
I can't put my finger on it, but everything just seems to be slotting into place. A calm reassuring manager. A team unbeaten in 3 months. Rotherham helping us to keep the unbeaten run going with a fantastic own goal. The side dominating games, but grinding out results when needed. Confidence levels through the roof. West stand for the first time since '73. It's all there, and I believe we'll do what's necessary to win again. I'm not complacent, it won't be an easy game, but I am supremely confident.
He can not prove proof of funds, he has not approached Madrox to sell their shares. This is just fake news and his dream
What are the thoughts on how yesterday's result will impact on the ownership in the summer? Is this the end for Donald and Methven? I bloody hope so.
you’d hope so but I think it’s impossible to know. my hope is that they had already agreed some sort of exit if / when we got promoted. also worth bearing in mind Sartori was there yesterday next to KLD, and Stewart had always said that Sartori was only really there to invest and help when we get promoted to the championship….
Well now promotion is done i hope KLD can persuade Alex Neil to a longer contract, then sort the retained list/loan players. and then get the recruitment process going. And not fanny on like we have done in the past. I think that is enough for starters. I was fortunate to be at Wembley 73, and i and many many thousands were 100% convinced after the semi win over Arsenal that we would win at Wembley. i think this is the first time since 73 that so many fans had that same belief that we had 49 years ago.
I hope AN will be in talks on Monday to get him signed and give him reassurances of club plans so he can go have a holiday knowing it is sorted.
I spied Margarita at the match today, is this the first time she’s attended ? Hopefully she likes what she saw yesterday
It was telling that not only was Sartori there with KLD, but that they were hugging each other at the end. Against Charlton 3 years ago Sartori was no where near Donald even though he was there.
Not sure enough has been made of this pic. Or perhaps I'm making too much of it? KLD, Maurice and Sartori together with their wives. Donald glum behind. Methven elsewhere. KLD and Sartori are obviously closer than perhaps we thought.
Pretty sure at one point @BOB EDWARDS was in amongst in, when the trophy was getting handed to the players.
I tell you what I am (a bit sad) excited about? Once Sunderland gets moved from the League One sub-forum, and moved to The Championship sub-forum. Anyway, hopefully the ownership issue is sorted soon-ish. Donald and Methven have their plan fulfilled, the club has been promoted...sell your shares and goodbye lads, I'd say I've loved every minute.....but that's a lie.
