Hull City will face Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk at the MKM Stadium later this summer, as part of their preparations for the new Championship campaign which gets underway over the final weekend in July. The game will be played at the MKM Stadium and will aim to raise money to support the people of Ukraine impacted by the Russian invasion.

..

Shota Arveladze's men are also planning to take on Spanish giants Sevilla during their pre-season training camp to the Marbella Football Centre in July, where they're expected to play two further games with one likely to be against Premier League opposition.

Also mentions trying to line up a game against Rangers and Fenerbahce although the latter won't be part of pre-season.

Pretty exciting links to be forming.

Dynamo Kyiv would make more sense if it was to support Ukraine. Most of Shakhtar’s actual fans are from Donbas and are pro-Russia. Bit like if Catalonia declared independence and the Spanish government relocated Barça to Madrid lol.

Can anyone remember the dates the squad is in Marbella and is there any dates for friendlies whilst they are there?

Hull City's players may be jetting all over the world for their summer holidays, but back at the MKM Stadium, staff are working hard to put plans in place for their return next month.

The Tigers will return to Cottingham on June 20 where they'll spend the first two weeks or so getting used to being back in training ahead of the late July start, before flying out to Marbella on Spain's Costa del Sol for a week-long training camp. City had been looking at the possibility of using either Turkey or Portugal as potential destinations, but have now opted for Marbella which is often used as a pre-season base for numerous European clubs.
City themselves are no strangers to the Marbella Football Center, having used it prior to the coronavirus pandemic in the summer of 2019 ahead of what turned out to be an ill-fated Championship campaign which ultimately ended in relegation under Grant McCann. They played friendlies against Leyton Orient and Lincoln Red Imps drawing their first outing 2-2 and beating the Gibraltar-based side 2-1 in their second contest in the Spanish sun.

I think we're supposed to be playing Bournemouth and Sevilla while there, not sure if the dates have been sorted. We're also playing Shakhtar Donetsk when we get back, which will be worth going to.
