    Leeds score to confirm safety

And well done City, much as it pains me to say that...

In the old days footballers had no contract or pay during the summer. A number played cricket, but some did unrelated jobs such as painting and decorating.

Some of ours may be better suited to that.

Isn't that what Ross Jenkins did after retiring?

He wouldn't have needed a ladder...

Rugby League for me - the season is only a few weeks old in Australia and is already shaping up to be a good one for my favourites, Brisbane Broncos.

Just returned from a visit to the three tribes in Essex

At last this season is now over, the Pozzos need to look at us now as they did when they took over 10 years ago, The basic infrastructure (ground etc) is very good but player recruitment over the last three years has been DIRE

I dont believe this is down to Gino or Duxbury but solely down to our "alleged" Head of Recruitment, he who peeps over the shoulders of our Manager/Head Coaches and interferes with team selection, he needs to go

We all know we need a mass clear out of deadwood (including Sarr) and bring in some young hungry players who can connect to the club

Pedro needs to stay but not as a lone striker or main target man, could be a very busy summer
