Well done City and well done Liverpool too. Cracking title race and it's some effort to get that close to the most expensively assembled squad ever.
I love Liverpool the team, and Klopp is brilliant. I just can’t bare all the ‘more than a football club’ approach of the fanbase.
I don’t agree, but even if it were, we’re all supposed to buy into their mythology as well. Can’t be arsed with it.
Yeah I get that. I understand fans thinking it as ultimately every fan thinks their own club is special but the media expecting everyone to lap it up grates. Same with all the big clubs really. Like how we're supposed to think that City have gone from midtable to dominating is a fantastic underdog story and just ignore that they've spent about £2b to do so.
Bloody hell. Just seen that United finished 6th with a goal difference of 0 Such a poor league this year outside of the top two.
I'm not going to miss Burnley or Watford. And there's point wasting any time on missing Norwich, because they'll be back again in 12 months. And then down again. And then back again.
Reckon Burnley could be in some big trouble financially. If they don't come up next season then I could see them dropping again in 3/4.
They're in big trouble if they don't come straight back up. There's a big loan that needs to be repaid among other things.
Yeah, it's not even like they can rake in a bunch of money from transfer fees. Tarkowski and Mee out of contract. Cornet has a relegation release clause of, I think, about £12m. Pope could fetch an OK amount, but not his true market value with only one year left. I struggle to think anyone has watched Weghorst in a Burnley shirt and decided that he's worth a big purchase. McNeil has gone backwards in the past two years.
