Must have misunderstood your point. Apologies.
Probably as I’m pissed off about being moved again.

You can come, but only after the evicted ones have chosen their seats there.
    Swearing is compulsory.
To be honest I’ll have to move there as I don’t like sitting down and watching so need somewhere they accept standing which is assume will be North.
    Real shame though

Frig that, we want fans who will sing in the East that’s why Kempton moved into it in the first place, wrong moving out kop into the North.

BUT there will only be 4 sections for the home supporters from N1 in the N W corner to just past the goal. Out of sight of the telly camera's most of the time while the away fans get the prime location.

Now if E1 to 3 get singing and bouncing it spreads along the east stand, isolating the singer's and dancers in the NW won't help.

    Correct
If it’s really being done to improve the atmosphere I think it’s a huge mistake

It's a strange one if it's for financial reasons, as if there is confidence the changes will increase attendances, wouldn't the extra bodies bring in more cash than the increase anyway?

I think Acun's had duff advice on this.

It's probably not about making money. Generally if an area is more popular they'll put the price up to meet the demand, to incentivise people to take the cheaper seats in the areas they want people, i.e. behind the goals.

Actually last time someone was advising an owner to do it wasn’t it supposed to be the start of the much heralded … ‘Hulltras’?

The other financial change here is that the away fans are liable to be paying the lower figure, even when they're sat next to people in the east stand.

I think he's seen games on the continent where you see a lot of teams putting Ultras behind the goals and thought "we need that".

We do need that, but I think he also needs to understand that English football isn't as die hard as it is on the continent, there just isn't the energy for creating an atmosphere like The Eternal Derby or The Holy War Derby, especially not at Hull City. It would take a improbably enormous overhaul of our club's support to mimic that.

It would be amazing, intimidating and powerful (which is exactly what a Tiger's lair should be), but it's just not going to happen and hasn't looked like happening in the 29 years I've been a fan.

Definitely won’t happen when you’ve only got fractionally more than half the end stand either

The foreign ones are largely orchestrated sing songs. Brits don't like being treat like performing seals, and fans tend to react to events in the ground at the time, rather than the last night of the proms stuff in Europe.

The failure of that last attempt should confirm that if anything like that is to happen here, it needs to be nurtured in an organic way and lead by fans, not orchestrated by the club.

Especially when it's isolated from the rest of the ground, which has a knock on at away games.

It's not a numbers thing for atmospheres, as many non-league clubs, and away fans show.

Well at non-league level the grounds are smaller so you don't need many people. You're hardly going to get an intimidating, raucous atmosphere in a 25k seater stadium if half the seats are empty.

Some few thousand away fans in some grounds beg to differ.

I'm sure they do, it's not even on the same scale as what we see in Europe (which you said was club orchestrated - bit of a generalisation but then there's a lot more overlap between clubs and fans in Europe), let alone in the Premier League.

Away fans have come to us this season and out sung our fans, but they hardly make us feel uncomfortable or nervous, they're just a bit loud.
