The only running they should do is in the opposite direction of Loftus Road. Game, set & match. Thank ball boys, thank you ball girls.
Ferdinand will always be a hero to me, not just for his exploits in the hoops, but also for kicking Redknapp out.
I love Ainsworth like everyone else, but would anyone be wanting him as our manager if he wasn't an ex-player?
Good question. He's shown he can rebuild a team with scarce resources. Overall and given small size of club and resources, Wycombe have performed well in the 10 years that Ainsworth has been manager. Managers, like players, need to give head and heart for the club. We've had managers with head only, like Hughes and Redknapp who really couldn't give a toss about the club. As a player, Ainsworth, as we know, gave 150% for our team which is why he was so popular. I'd be pleased to see him appointed.
Fair points. There'd certainly be guaranteed team spirit and pride in the shirt. My concern is the style of football. Gareth is quoted as saying he doesn't want any football played in his team's half. He wants the ball played forward asap and try to play from there. I don't fancy that.
Hmm, yes, I see what you mean, a risky style. Difficult one, because if that's his style over the past few years, it's brought him comparative success given that we're not dealing with a large club in Wycombe. But it may be the reason they didn't stay in the Championship long...
