Well...would you sell your soul for 12 months

Gyan signed and played for the Scum for 12 months - 34 games-

BUT THEN signed to play for someother Club and is now allegedly being paid £200,000 per week to play football.

Would you play for the Scum for 12 months if at the end of it you were guarenteed (I know Gyan wasn't) to then be paid £200,000 per week just to play football. You don't have to score the goals Gyan did but you would have to play 34 games for them.

Long hard thought on my part but I wouldn't. If the Scum were the only professional football team wanting to sign me I still wouldn't. If I played no9 for the Toon and the bindippers wanted to.... Hang on, that's a different thread....

But you only get that after the 12 months for the Scum.

Also you could have a career ending injury before you have finished your 12 months and then wouldn't get the £200,000 per week contract but you would still have the shame amongst your friends and family of having played in the red and white stripes......

 

You'd still get your salary if you were out injured plus you'd get a massive pay off for a carreer ending injury.

 

Carr could spot you and then NUFC offer you a contract for life. Would you do it in that circumstance? Worth the shame of playing for Sunderland for a year?
