All his best stuff for us was 3 or more years ago and we'll always have the Swansea memory. Plus don't forget Pablo was injured once or twice every season as well.
The thing is talent is talent if you're good enough you can play at the top level when you're 40 and ready to retire.
Pablo wouldn't last 90 minutes and he would have spent more time on the treatment table. Whatever division we are in next season we seriously need to look at those who are injury prone and replace them
Even at 37 I wouldn’t mind having him on bench to come on in last 20 minutes sunday if we’re struggling to create anything
No. Sorry mate. You are speculating that O’Leary could have achieved what Bielsa did with his squad but couldn’t have the other way around. O’Leary brought in players who’s wages we were still paying off long after they left and helped to bankrupt the club. Bielsa got an apparently load of **** Orta signings to 9th
On his knee. He's had a discomfort since September. Not being funny but it sounds like early stages of Arthritis. Trust me I should know as I suffer from the condition myself.
Pablo gave the ball away more than any other player in our team. Brilliant at times and definitely moments of genius but let's not pretend he was a top PL player.
I just think he (or someone like him) might have just calmed us down in the last third. A bit of experience to guide us through rather than Rodrigo panicking and smashing the ball out of play. We certainly need someone to just slow things down at times. I think Pablo could have done that from the bench at times and I'm only mentioning him because we HAD him. Roberts certainly doesn't do it. Obviously Rodrigo should be that player but he looks rushed even when he is in acres of space.
