I read a small byline this morning that the club are to enter into negotiations to extend Howe's current deal as manager as he only has two years left on his contract.
Improved deal from what I've heard, as they're very happy with what he's done. Thankfully this rubbishes the hilarious "Newcastle to sack Howe and bring in Mourinho" rumour from a couple of days ago.
And he has fully earned it. He wasn't my first choice but he has done better than I would guess anyone thought he would and by a distance. Not expecting the same form for next season but you can but hope.
They couldn't and shouldn't bring Jose anywhere near this squad now or in the future. That's the mistake too many clubs do. Go from an attacking coach to a defensive coach. Jose would fall out with Bruno, ASM and Wilson inside an hour and have them looking for new clubs because that's his go to tactic to assert his authority at every club he goes to.
No way... Howe has done well, but it'll most likley end with fans chasing him out just like the rest. This isn't just nufc fans, but the second we have a bad patch they'll be after him and he'll be sacked if it doesn't get better overnight.
