Have you seen the latest offer to him from psg? 4m a week + head of sporting operations , decide on transfers coaches ect
I think the tide is turning on the straight, white man advantage, or whatever you want to call it, as minorities are being sought out for jobs, advertisements etc - what used to be called affirmative action in favour of white people. I don't see any harm in giving people a leg up but it should always be that the best person for the job gets it. I agree that minorities still feel hard done by, I've got lots of personal stories to back that up particularly ones involving racism. The laws do exist though regarding their rights so asking for equal rights is focusing on the wrong thing. What the right thing is, I don't know. With regard to your last paragraph, in the broader sense, it's very sad that not all countries afford the same rights to all their citizens. In a narrower sense, speaking about Muslim footballers from certain regions and religions, you can't demand that they follow a different belief just because you don't like their beliefs. Gay youngsters looking for affirmation from Muslim footballers are looking in the wrong place. That's just a fact whether we agree with it or not.
I quickly switched on the telly last night once I knew the Rangers game had gone to penalties, which were already underway. Did Ramsay come on just for the penalties?
They like to think they are elite because of their money, desperate to not let him go to Madrid and on a free
It'd quite happily see Everton go down after their ****ty tactics against us in recent times but I just really don't like Burnley!
Jeeeez give poor old toffees a break. Either give them the old city and family ra ra.... Or... Realise that they will be even worse.next season when they sell half the side to keep the wolf from the door and the filled in Dock gets put to better use as a car park. Everton are likely to do a Sunderland here and sell richarilson, pickshite and Calvert Lewin then end up relegated on 10 points. Or just not give a **** either way.
Boooo to be fair couldnt see everton going down anyway as Leeds wouldn't have got a win in final game but would have been more fun if they still could go down last game.
Good post on a very delicate subject. As I've said, imo if he doesn't want to go along with the rainbow thing then that is his right. People will draw their own conclusions according to their own beliefs and/or prejudices. That's human nature, 'twas ever thus and probably always will be, but we don't need to agree with the opinions of others to defend their right to hold them. If Gueye's reasons are homophobic then that is distasteful to me, but as long as he isn't actively inciting hatred then it seems to me that is his right. None of us have much control over our feelings, only how we act upon them. Although like most of us I'd rather everyone shared the moral consensus, I'm uncomfortable with attempts to try and impose it.
What have you got against Burnley now the Gruffalo's gone? Just curious, because I don't think there's any team I actively dislike - beyond the obvious rivalry with "certain others".
