    was looking on nufc.com at players and saw this
    Matty Appleby Darlington, Barnsley, Oldham Athletic, Darlington, Whitby Town, commercial deep sea diver. bit of an odd career choice when he finished playing OI matty what's wrong with opening a pub/boutique/hair salon/sports shop (or like supermac becoming a chronic alcoholic )

    I actually liked him! He had a strange style of play, an attacking centre back. Obviously not the best technique but quite exciting to watch. <ok>

    Adam Johnson is from Easington and is Manchester United fan, according to my partner. He went to school with her and she reckons he always wore United shirts with Beckham or Giggs on the back in P.E. I also played against him at school and sunday league level for Dene House and East Durham.

    And he had a spell with NUFC in his youth!
