I hope theres no truth in this , Colccinni was sheiiiiite about 3 yrs ago, a laughin stock.Surely hes not turned it around that much,he aint got it mentally 4 me,always liable to make a absolute clanger.Besides at nearly 30 hes too old.Should be lookin at better younger players.Albiol, Verthongen etc
The point of the thread was to laugh at the silly speculation, there is no way we are looking to sign him.
What can be said is all the geordie fans seem to think hes the dogs bollox ,and as they see him every week, perhaps he is.It always annoys me when opposition fans slag off Lucas, when hes been pretty sh*t hot the last couple of years,and its lfc fans who know best because we see him every week I think the best judges of any player can only be fans of the team he plays for Maybe he is a top player, maybe it would be a good signing,still slightly old though
Just took him a while to get used to english football to be honest, when we were relegated it was a blessing in disguise in many ways but the biggest advantage was the improvement on Coloccini, he really seemed to find himself in the championship and has managed to continue that so far in the premier league with more MOM performances than I can remember to count. The form of Steven Taylor has helped no end aswell as they seem to have formed a formidable partnership at the back, just look at the goals conceded columns on the league table to see that. Quality defender and I wont lie, I would be gutted if we lost him.
He has improved loads. Took time to settle, but now he is flying and is deservably captain. Our best player.
